Letter: GOP veils reason behind Iraq war

Regarding Sondra Cosgrove's Sept. 9 letter, "GOP is party of hypocrites": It's always nice to hear the truth spoken. It happens so infrequently by all of the Washingtonians.

While all are guilty of stretching the truth, the Republicans, and particularly Baby Bush, seem to outdo anyone from the Liars Club.

When no nation in the Middle East seems to be at all concerned about Iraq, ask yourself, who stands to profit from such a mistaken war? Big oil and the defense contractors.

Need anyone say more?
