Drivers need to slow down
Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002 | 8:57 a.m.
In the Sept. 8 Sun there was a letter about bad drivers.
My wife and I do not have a car due to financial setbacks related to 9-11, so we have to rely on the bus.
I've personally seen two bus stops that literally were destroyed by what had to have been large vehicles. If people would slow down for those of us who aren't as fortunate to own a car, it would be greatly appreciated.
And we use crosswalks, but sometimes I think it's actually safer to jaywalk because of drivers who don't know the difference between red and green lights.
I just hope bad drivers slow down.
