Boaters fishing with anchovies around Fish Island in the Overton Beach area of Lake Mead were very successful landing stripers that measured 16-18 inches in length. Two boaters brought in 32 stripers.
Shore anglers fishing along the banks of the lower campground at Echo Bay were very successful landing catfish that were 16-17 inches. Anchovies were landing the fish. Stripers that were 12-14 inches were also being caught along the shore with top-water lures.
Due to the low water level, the marina was moved to Hemenway Harbor.
Shore anglers fishing in the evenings were successful landing stripers in Cottonwood Cove. Anchovies were landing stripers that averaged 12 inches in length.
