Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002 | 11:15 a.m.
In Business Las Vegas is now also a television program. In Business Las Vegas, the television show, premieres Friday with host Jeff Gillan.
In Business is the newest entry in the lineup of local programming on Las Vegas ONE, cable channels 1 and 39. Gillan will continue to co-anchor Las Vegas ONE's "NewsONE at Nine" Monday through Friday nights.
The weekly In Business television program will draw on the expertise of the weekly newspaper In Business Las Vegas, its sister newspaper the Las Vegas Sun, Las Vegas ONE, and Channel 8 Eyewitness News.
In Business Las Vegas, the television program, will feature news from all key business sectors, in-depth interviews with business leaders, and economic indicators of interest locally. In a weekly segment, Las Vegas ONE "Face to Face" host and In Business and Sun newspaper commentator Jon Ralston will explain how the latest political events will play in the business world.
"This show will bring the pages of In Business to life," said Bruce Spotleson, In Business Las Vegas publisher. "The program will highlight the business news of the week and elaborate on the success stories and fascinating people in this dynamic business community."
Robert Stoldal, general manager of Las Vegas ONE, said, "Turning the newspaper In Business Las Vegas into a television program has been at the top of my list of programs to add to the Las Vegas ONE lineup. It fills an important niche and is an essential component of the continued dynamic growth of the Las Vegas Valley."
Las Vegas ONE, Las Vegas' 24-hour, all-news cable channel, is a partnership of Cox Communications, KLAS-TV and the Sun.
In Business Las Vegas premieres Friday at 3:30 p.m. The program will be rebroadcast Friday at 8:30 p.m., Saturday at 9:30 a.m., Sunday at 4:30 p.m. and Monday at 8:30 p.m.
