UNLV junior sprinter Michele Davis missed advancing to the finals in the 200 meters by just one one-hundreth of a second during Wednesday's NCAA's Track and Field Championships at Bernie Moore Stadium in Baton Rouge, La.
Davis, who could barely practice on Tuesday because of a nagging left hamstring injury, finished second in her heat with a time of 23.22. The winner of the four heats automatically advanced to Saturday's championship race along with the next five fastest times. But Davis' mark was 10th fastest overall.
