Developer to build retail center

CENTRA Properties will break ground in July on a 22-acre retail center on the southeast corner of Stephanie Street and Paseo Verde Parkway in Henderson.

Henderson-based CENTRA, which is in a joint venture on the project with landowner Mahacamu LLC, said the first phase of the $12 million project will consist of about 8,800 square feet. Retail pads will be sold or leased to users that include banks and fast-food restaurants, and space will be available for occupancy in the first quarter of 2003. The speculative project has no tenants lined up yet.

Upon its build-out in about two years, the center will have 200,000 square feet of space.

Perlman Architects is designing the shopping center. Wright Engineers is the engineering firm on the site, and Bennett, Bolich and Manning is the general contractor.
