Camp can help 13-year-old orphan

A 13-year-old girl was described as bitter after her mother died. Her father also was deceased and she felt abandoned. The girl worked through her feelings and now has a much better attitude, her guardian says.
"She does obey without complaining and is doing much better in school, especially with her homework," the guardian says.
She believes the girl would benefit from a camping experience, but she can pay only $10 toward the cost, and is seeking the Sun Camp Fund's help with the rest.
An 8-year-old boy went to live with a foster family after he was removed from his home. His parents were alcoholics and, according to his foster mother, he "witnessed events no child should be subjected to."
At the time, he was out of control because he had no rules or guidance. Now, his foster mother says, he is a polite and well-mannered boy. He recently was recognized at a school assembly for being Student of the Month for reading achievement. He continues to excel in school and is very loving.
Now he'd like to go to camp but needs the help of the Sun Camp Fund to pay for it.
