Plays staged

The Nevada Humanities Committee's Chautauqua Program presents the patriotic program "Inventing America." Performances include George Frein as John Adams at 7 p.m. Wednesday at UNLV's Koch Auditorium, and at 10 a.m. Thursday at UNLV's Moyer Student Union; Sandra Kamisikiri as Phyllis Wheatley at 7 p.m. Thursday at Swainston Middle School Little Theatre, 3500 W. Season opener
