Philharmonic
The July Fourth "Star Spangled Spectacular" will feature the Las Vegas Philharmonic conducted by Harold Weller in a program of patriotic music. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Hills Park, 9100 Hillpointe Road, Summerlin. Tickets are $10 to $15 and children younger than 5 are free. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. for picnicking and fireworks follows the concert. Call 895-2787.
Screenings
The city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services is sponsoring an outdoor screening of "Passport to Paris -- The Olsen Twins," starring Mary Kate and Ashley, at 8:30 p.m. today at Becker Community School, 9110 Hillpointe Road. The Library District continues its Cool Kids Cinema series with "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" a free, family movie at 3 p.m. Tuesday at West Las Vegas Library, 951 W. Lake Mead Blvd. Call 507-3983.
Getaway
"All About Women," a ladies-only weekend, featuring educational, business and personal growth opportunities for women ages 25 to 65, will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the MGM Grand Conference Center. Admission is $6. Call 240-4600.
Clown theatre
The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District will host "Aga-Boom," combining circus, comedy and experimental clown theatre, at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Summerlin Library, 1771 Inner Circle Drive and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. Admission is free. Call 734-7323.
Barn dance

Performers needed
The Nevada Youth Alliance's Youth Board will hold auditions in July for amateur singers, dancers, dramatic readers and musicians to participate in its upcoming "Arts in the Community -- Salute to Youth" showcase. To register (by Sunday) call 633-1610 or 633-2550.
