Hilda Leah Barham

Hilda Leah Barham, 96, of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., died Saturday in Lake Havasu City. She was born Sept. 6, 1905, in Peach Orchard, Ark. A former Las Vegas resident from 1964 to 1994, she was a retired dress shop owner and was a former Sunday school teacher.

She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Woods of Lake Havasu City; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Ethel L. Burton

Ethel L. Burton, 76, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. She was born June 12, 1926, in Livingston, Ala. A resident for 45 years, she was a retired environmental services employee of Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.

She is survived by four daughters, Geneva Sweat, Betty Turner, Gracie Burton and Johnnie Mae Campbell, all of Las Vegas; three sons, Robert Burton and Barry Edward Burton, both of Las Vegas, and Jim Allen Burton of North Las Vegas; one sister, Cleo Johnson of Hattiesburg, Miss.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1240 W. Adams Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Timothy Harold Clough Jr.

Timothy Harold Clough Jr., 24, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born July 29, 1977, in Berkeley, Calif. A resident for eight years, he was a plumber's apprentice.

He is survived by his parents, Marilee and Timothy Harold Clough Sr. of North Las Vegas; two sisters, Raven Smith of Las Vegas and Jessica Smith of Vallejo, Calif.; his two grandmothers; his grandfather; and his great-grandfather.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at 3812 W. Red Coach Ave., North Las Vegas. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Gilbert N. 'Tick' Dewhurst

Gilbert N. "Tick" Dewhurst, 92, of Boulder City died Saturday in Boulder City. He was born Nov. 18, 1909, in Nelsonville, Ohio. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired glazier and an avid pool player who won many trophies in the senior division at the Henderson and Boulder City senior centers.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine A.; and two sisters, both of Florida.

Donna Elise Gubody

Donna Elise Gubody, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 3, 1917, in Ludington, Mich. A resident for 51 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Sherie Del Fante of Las Vegas; one brother, Dale Mavis of Saginaw, Mich.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Donald Hamil

Donald Hamil, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 15, 1926, in Chambersburg, Pa. A resident for 12 years, he was an executive in the trucking industry and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Sara; one son, Robert Hamil of New Lenox, Ill.; one daughter, Alexa Miotti of Mokena, Ill.; one brother, Fred Hamil of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

Connie C. Johnson

Connie C. Johnson, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born March 8, 1937, in Etowah, Tenn. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired insurance clerk and a former porter at Arizona Charlie's.

She is survived by one sister, Emma Stowe of Athens, Tenn.

George E. Kellam

George E. Kellam, 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 4, 1932, in Matormoras, Pa. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired Army chief warrant officer and a Vietnam War veteran who served for 20 years and former president of Rancho Las Palmas Homeowners Association.

He is survived by his wife, Virgilia V.; four daughters, Linda Mitchell of Portland, Ore., Debra Halvorson of Port Ludlow, Wash., Vicki Westlund of Pasco, Wash., and Sandra Casey of Destin, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11:20 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Ferdinand L. Loisel

Ferdinand L. Loisel, 80, of Pahrump died Saturday in Pahrump. He was born Jan. 10, 1922, in Minnesota. A resident for 15 years, he was a real estate officer and an Air Force veteran and a member of the Flying Tigers for six years.

He was preceded in death by one son and one daughter.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne; and one daughter, Michelle Howard of California; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A rosary will be one hour prior to an 11 a.m. Mass Saturday in Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Pahrump. Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road, is handling arrangements.

Stuart A. McCarthy

Stuart A. McCarthy, 77, of Goodsprings died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 5, 1924, in Chicago. A resident since the 1940s, he was a former justice of the peace, a Marine Corps veteran and a lifetime member of the Elks.

He is survived by his companion, JoAnn Jones of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Mary 'Deanie' Modglin

Mary "Deanie" Modglin, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 30, 1933, in Sikeston, Mo. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired accountant in the gaming industry and a Valley Hospital volunteer.

She is survived by one son, Stanley Modglin of Belton, Mo.; three daughters, Wanda Letourneau and Chris Ratio, both of Las Vegas, and Bonnie Aguilar of Livingston, Mont.; and six grandchildren.

Khalil A. Nader

Khalil A. Nader, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Henderson. He was born March 25, 1921, in Beirut, Lebanon. A resident for 14 years, he was a shoemaker who owned Nader Shoe Repair on Paradise Road.

He is survived by his wife, Chames; four daughters, Yolla Nader, Bernadette Daccache and Nadra Daccache, all of Henderson, and Marleine Nader of Las Vegas; two sons, Joseph Nader and Charles Nader, both of Henderson; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Monalisa Nava

Monalisa Nava, 14, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 6, 1987, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, Vincente and Ramona Prieto Nava; four brothers, James Nava, Wesley Ramos, Andres Nava and Ricardo Nava, and one sister, Adilene Nava, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Wednesday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

William Rice

William Rice, 93, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A furniture store owner, he was born June 5, 1909, in Illinois.

He is survived by one daughter, Suzanne Brouse of Henderson.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Los Angeles. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Rebecca Riley

Rebecca Riley, 55, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 25, 1946, in Boulder City. A lifelong resident, she was a retail sales clerk.

She is survived by her parents, Jerold and Louise Riley, one son, Kevin M., and one brother, Michael J., all of Las Vegas.

Anne M. Straub

Anne M. Straub, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 13, 1929, in Ohio. A resident for many years, she was a restaurant porter.

She is survived by her husband, Jake.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Cleveland. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

John M. Torres

John M. Torres, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. He was born Dec. 2, 1929, in Sloan. A resident for 72 years, he was a retired postal worker and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen; one daughter, Sara Ohlson, three sons, Abel Torres, Juan Torres and Emilio Torres, and four sisters, Maria Jesus Torres, Mary Lou Bernier, Rosa Martinez and Consuelo Roybal, all of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Wednesday with a 7 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Graveside services will follow at noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Raymond Waldon

Raymond Waldon, 93, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 19, 1919, in Illinois. A resident for 20 years, he was a machinist and repairman at Westlock.

He is survived by one daughter, Shirley Karna, and two sons, Ronald Waldon and Marion Waldon, all of Pahrump; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Homer E. Williams

Homer E. Williams, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 25, 1930, in St. Louis. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired Navy hospital corpsman, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran and a member of the Fleet Reserve Association.

He is survived by one daughter, Angelina Carson of Las Vegas; his father, Earthelo Williams, one sister, Ruth Williams, and one brother, Benjamin Williams, all of St. Louis; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Graveside services will be 2:40 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
