Letter: Stand tall against terror
Tuesday, June 25, 2002 | 8:52 a.m.
We, as Americans, must immediately stand up and ignore the mass-media fear that is pumped into our homes every day.
It is a constant fear tactic that is destroying our economy in whole. The stock market is at the 9/11 lows and may get lower, people are in constant fear and afraid to make any rational decisions, and the world is coming apart.
We are sending out signals to the so-called terrorists that they have won. We need to tell them that they, or anyone else, will not detour or interfere with our lives any longer, and we will stand up and live like Americans and not a bunch of wimps crawling under rocks to hide.
We are Americans and proud people and our lives and economy will not be destroyed by so-called terrorists and/or the media.
