A Las Vegas-based timeshare developer with holdings in Las Vegas and on three Hawaiian islands broke ground this month on a 93-unit project with a South Pacific theme.
The $25 million Tahiti resort will be built by Consolidated Resorts Inc. on five acres one block east of the company's Club de Soleil timeshares on Tropicana Avenue near Decatur Boulevard.
Tahiti's two-bedroom accommodations will include 21 deluxe units of 1,400 square feet and 72 standard units with 1,200 square feet. The property will have two swimming pools with sand beach entrances, a spa, poolside cabanas and an outdoor barbecue area. The interiors will have granite countertops in the kitchens, whirlpool bathtubs, balconies and king-sized beds.
There is no gaming on the resort site, but the company offers shuttle buses to the Strip.
