Letter: Administration caters to rich
Friday, June 21, 2002 | 9:42 a.m.
Are there any White House policymakers who aren't millionaires?
This situation explains why the Bush administration so blatantly favors the nation's very rich. It explains why it favors making permanent the death tax repeal, and the tax cut, which so heavily favors the country's wealthiest.
All at the cost of Medicare and Social Security reform, prescription drugs for the elderly, and a policy of ignoring social problems.
Most damning of all, this policy wiped out President Clinton's program of creating a surplus and brought back the Reagan-Bush debilitating deficits.
