Cox Communications announced Friday the launch of HDTV service to the Las Vegas market using the new integrated set-top technology. The receiver is an advantage to cable customers who can use it with HDTV-capable televisions, which are less expensive than HDTV-ready televisions. The Greenspun family, owner of the Las Vegas Sun, is a minority investor in Cox's Las Vegas system.
