Former Control Board chairman hired

Former Nevada Gaming Control Board Chairman Steve DuCharme has joined WMS Gaming Inc. as a regulatory consultant, WMS announced today.

DuCharme will consult the Chicago-based slot machine manufacturer on gaming regulatory and compliance issues, as well as "strategic growth opportunities," the company said. Currently, DuCharme is an instructor for the Reno-based National Judicial College, and serves on the board of directors of Vestin Group, a Las Vegas-based mortgage and financing company.

DuCharme served with the Control Board for 10 years, including two as its chairman. He retired from the board one year ago.
