UNLV senior forward Linda Frohlich will compete against the world's best players after being selected as one of 17 top Division I seniors in the nation to compete in the 2002 Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Challenge to be held March 30 in San Antonio, Texas.
Frohlich, a Kodak All-America candidate, currently leads the Mountain West Conference averaging a double-double with a team-high 22.1 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. She is the league's two-time defending player of the year and the school's all-time leading scorer (men's and women's).
The game, to be played in conjunction with the 2002 NCAA Women's Final Four on March 29 & 31 in San Antonio, will be held at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Convocation Center at 2 p.m. (PST). The senior all-stars will match up against the 2002 USA Basketball National Team, which features Olympians and past collegiate All-Stars Chamique Holdsclaw, Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie and Dawn Staley.
