Cliff Allen

Cliff Allen, 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born June 17, 1938, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired salesman and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Renee; three daughters, Tanya, Tammy and Terri, all of Las Vegas; his father, Orlando Allen of Salt Lake City; one brother; one sister; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Louise Margaret Allen

Louise Margaret Allen, 64, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born May 4, 1937, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. A resident for 45 years, she was an educator.

She is survived by her mother, Crescentia Scott of Humboldt; two sisters, Ann Kostuk of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and Phyllis Urban of Regina, Saskatchewan; one brother, Daniel Scott of Humboldt.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Adrian E. Baize

Adrian E. Baize, 82, of Henderson died Saturday in a local care center. He was born June 6, 1919, in Oakland City, Ind. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired teacher, World War II Air Force veteran, a volunteer at St. Vincent shelter and worked for the Home Away From Home program at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife, Annette; one daughter, Alesie Balize of Henderson; one son, Timothy Baize of Evansville, Ind.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.

Lura Ann Bolin

Lura Ann Bolin, 46, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. Born April 4, 1955, in Germany, she was a resident for five years.

She is survived by her parents, Derald and Anna Bolin; one son, Joseph Dean Bolin; one daughter, Theresa Dawn Bolin; one brother, Derald J. Bolin; and one sister, Sandra Bolin.

Gerald Ben Bordewick

Gerald Ben Bordewick, 75, of Atchison, Kan., died Sunday in Atchison. He was born Feb. 2, 1927, in Long Beach, Calif. A former resident of Las Vegas, he owned a landscaping business in Anchorage, was a member of Good Sam R.V. Club, former member of the Moose and was active in the National Senior Olympics.

He is survived by two stepdaughters, Linda Higley of Atchison and Dawnia Clements of Anchorage; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services and burial will be in Atchison. Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Homes, 800 Kansas Avenue, Atchison, KS 66002, is handling arrangements.

Jean Haney Crisan

Jean Haney Crisan, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 12, 1927, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired cosmetologist and a member of the Ex-Pow Club.

She is survived by her husband, Norius; three daughters, Sharon Humphries of Ada, Mich., Debra Crisan-Batema of Greensboro, N.C., and Michelle Draguesku of West Linn, Ore.; one brother, Vincent Haney Jr., and one sister, LaVerne Bell, both of Pittsburgh; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Raymond E. Davis

Raymond E. Davis, 78, of Las Vegas died Feb. 9 in a local care center. He was born July 28, 1923, in Massachusetts. A resident for 40 years, he was a musician and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Sonja Davis.

Vigdis Edenmichelsen

Vigdis Edenmichelsen, 55, of North Las Vegas died Jan. 22 in a local hospital. She was born July 9, 1946, in Oslo, Norway. A resident for 14 years, she was a bookkeeper.

She is survived by two brothers, Steinar Michelsen of Harker Heights, Texas, and Sverre Michelsen of Spotsylvania, Va.

Services will be private. Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Paul Fojtik

Paul Fojtik, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 6, 1919, in Wisconsin. A resident for four years, he was an Air Force pilot and a member of Retired Officers, and Daedaliens.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Fojtik; one son, Scott Robbins; three daughters, Susan Rusthoven, Debra Bacci and Linda Robbins; three brothers, Fred Fojtik, Rudy Vatter and William Vatter; one sister, Margaret Hakow; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mark Angelo Frazer

Mark Angelo Frazer, 33, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 6, 1968, in California. A resident for 17 years, he was a roofing supervisor.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly; her parents, Charles J. and Diane Frazer; and one brother, Grant Frazer.

Ramona L. Gaitor

Ramona L. Gaitor, 45, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 17, 1956, in Las Vegas. A lifetime resident, she was a retired waitress and a member of the Culinary Union.

She is survived by one daughter, Andraya Jones, three sons, Jonathon Gaitor Sr., Donald Gaitor Jr., and Calvin Tellis Jr., her parents, L.B. and Lola Hall, one sister, Debra Brightwell, and one brother, Lloyd Hall, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Carmen Gillette

Carmen Gillette, 86, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 8, 1916, in Puerto Rico. A resident for 14 years, she was a nurse assistant and a member of the DAV and VFW auxiliaries.

She is survived by her husband, Carlton; one son, Valantine; and one brother, Ralpheal.

Laura Ellen Gruber, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 17, 1922, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 25 years, she was a grocery store meat wrapper.

She is survived by one son, Louis Gruber; one daughter, Michelle Dominquez; two brothers, Art and Fred; two sisters, Betty and Sarah; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Dolores Hubbs, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 20, 1932, in New Jersey. A resident for 27 years, she was a retired hotel pay master.

She is survived by her husband, James W.; three sons, Michael Hubbs of Henderson and David Hubbs and James Hubbs, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Jeannie Jankowski of Belleville, N.J., and Raymond Nestor of Shenandoah, Pa.; and three grandchildren.

Luis Manuel Hernandez Jimenez

Luis Manuel Hernandez Jimenez, 16, of Las Vegas died Feb. 8 in Las Vegas. He was born May 1, 1985, in Mexico City. A resident for 10 years, he was a student.

He is survived by his father, Juan Luis Hernandez Ferrer; his mother, Maria Blanca Lipson; one brother, Kevin; and one sister, Jackie.

He is survived by three brothers, Robert, Ernest and Michael; and four sisters, Linda, Karin, Mary and Georgia.

Leota Fay Kidd, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born June 10, 1916, in Lula, Okla. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Christina M. Henderson of Las Vegas; one son, Clyde Kidd of Sacramento; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Shirley Silvia Longhurst

Shirley Silvia Longhurst, 79, of Las Vegas died Feb. 12 in Las Vegas. She was born June 24, 1922, in Sturgeon Bay, Wis. A resident for 56 years, she was a waitress, Navy veteran and a member of Toastmistresses and the Women's Bowling Congress.

She is survived by three sons, Edward Lyle Longhurst, James Phillip Longhurst and John Michael Longhurst; one brother, Bob Landea; and two grandchildren.

Kevin Lee McCarter

Kevin Lee McCarter, 29, of Las Vegas died Feb. 12 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 18, 1972, in Texas. A resident for 25 years, he was a cook at Harrah's.

He is survived by his wife, Alicia; one son, Patrick Gibellina; one daughter, Diana Gibellina; his parents Ronnie and Janie McCarter; and two brothers, Patrick McCarter and Ray Garcia.

Moises L. Misa Jr.

Moises L. Misa Jr., 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. Born Oct. 13, 1941, in Manila, he was a custodian.

He is survived by his wife, Gracia; one son, Victor Bernardino Misa of Las Vegas; four sisters, Remedios De Leon and Leonor Canon, both of Las Vegas, and Lydia Misa of Manila, and Marietta Sevidal of the Philippines.

Simmie J. Moore

Simmie J. Moore, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Dec. 7, 1930, in Eutaw, Ala. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired hotel porter and a member of the Culinary Union.

He is survived by three sons, Kenneth James, Darrell Lee Jackson and James LaMont Moore, and his companion, Annabelle Adams, all of Las Vegas; three daughters, Denise Oliver of Las Vegas, Mildred Thomas of Chicago and Dee Moore of Milwaukee; five brothers, Amos Moore and George Sanders, both of Las Vegas, Sherman Moore of Boston, Albert Moore of New Jersey and Raymond Moore of Alabama; three sisters, Minnie Harris of California and Sarah Atkins and Ruby Moore, both of Michigan; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Vincent Joseph Nepolitan Jr., 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 17, 1932, in Philadelphia. A resident for 18 years, he was a musician and a member of the Musicians Union.

He is survived by one son, Vincent Joseph Nepolitan III; one daughter, Kathleen, one brother, Frank; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Iliana Maria Roberts, 43, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 17, 1958, in Camaguey, Cuba. A resident for 18 years, she was a bookkeeper in the gaming industry.

She is survived by her husband, John K.; two daughters, Jessica Marie Velaquez and Stephanie Marie Roberts, two sons, Manuel Jesus Velazquez and Jabriel Mario Fernandez, and her father, Pedro Miquel Alfonso, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Susana Marlene Shalhoub of Saudi Arabia; and one grandchild.

Robert Saeger, 46, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 9, 1955, in Glendale, Calif. A resident for 10 years, he was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Operating Engineers.

He is survived by his wife, Debra; three sons, Robert Saeger of Las Vegas and Jason Saeger and Jeremy Saeger, both of Henderson; his mother, June Jensen of Las Vegas; three sisters, Barbara Krautner of Las Vegas, Jean Biggs of San Clemente, Calif., and Karen Bonnifet of Bentonville, Ark.; and four grandchildren.

Pearl J. Schrantz

Pearl J. Schrantz, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 7, 1925, in Ohio. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Siegmund of Las Vegas and Sinclair Rau of Wichita, Kan.; eight sisters, Lena, Julie, Nancy, Ema, Eugenia, Virginia, Edna and Jemma; five brothers, Franklin, Roger, Richard, Jupiter and William; and five grandchildren.

John Darrell Shay

John Darrell Shay, 79, of Las Vegas died Feb. 11 in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 13, 1922, in Nebraska. A resident for five years, he was an automotive salesman, Army veteran, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Shriners and Colorado Independent Car Dealers Association.

He is survived by one daughter, Karen A. Edwards; and two grandchildren.

Carl Tshudy, 41, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 3, 1961, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a manager for a pool company.

Reuben Valdivia, 51, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 19, 1950, in Mexico. A resident for 10 years, he was a casino maintenance worker.

He is survived by three sons, Arnulfo Valdivia, Ruben Valdivia Jr., and Gabriel Valdivia; four sisters, Marisela Valdivia, Sandra Valdivia, Mayra R. Valdivia and Marlene Valdivia; six brothers, Rodolfo, Arnulfo, Ernesto, Arturo, Remberto and Jose-Manuel; six sisters, Elisa, Lidia, Catalina, Celia, Bertha and Elvira; and two grandchildren.

Isaac Vargas

Isaac Vargas, 30, of Las Vegas died Feb. 4 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 31, 1971, in Fresno, Calif. A resident for 2 1/2 years, he was a graphic designer.

He is survived by three sons, Jacob, Jimi and Joseph; his mother, Gloria; one brother, Pete Jr., and Matthew; and two sisters, Carmen and Aurora.

Richard Leon Williams

Richard Leon Williams, 54, of Las Vegas died Feb. 6 in a local hospital. He was born May 30, 1947, in Alabama. A resident for nine years, he was a minister and a member of the Local Union.

He is survived by his companion, Frances; his mother, Eddie Mae Howard; and six brothers, Felix, David, Norman, Lawrence, Otis and Andrew.

William Boyd Wimpee Jr.

William Boyd Wimpee Jr., 35, of Las Vegas died Friday in Primm. He was born Sept. 19, 1966, in San Jose, Calif. A resident for seven months, he was an iron worker.

He is survived by one son, Tyler Wimpee; his father, William Wimpee Sr.; his mother, Joyce Ryan; one brother, Brandon Wimpee; and one sister, Stephanie James.
