Eleanor M. Foster
Eleanor M. Foster, 84, of Henderson died Aug. 11 in a local hospital. She was born June 26, 1918, in Los Angeles. A resident for 66 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Lee Foster of Beaver, Utah; one son, Louis C. Foster of Las Vegas; one daughter, Patricia C. Graham of Strawberry Point, Utah; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be 8:40 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Arlyn Jette
Arlyn Jette, 80, of Clarksville, Ind., died Thursday in Clarksville. She was born March 14, 1922, in Hyannis, Mass. A former Las Vegas resident, she was a teacher.
She is survived by one daughter, Jean Gillespie of Reno; one son, James Caron of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Chapman Funeral Home, Clarksville, is handling arrangements.
Catherine B. 'Katie' Lynch
Catherine B. "Katie" Lynch, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 28, 1923, in Omaha, Neb. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker and a volunteer at St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick; four sons, Patrick Lynch of Washington, D.C., Michael Lynch of Los Alamos, N.M., Timothy Lynch of Quincy, Mich., and Dennis Lynch of Corona, Calif.; one sister, Lucille Lesneski of South Deerfield, Mass.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Tuesday with a 6 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Graveside services will be noon Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Charlotte Alice Nolan
Charlotte Alice Nolan, 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 2, 1917, in Ruso, N.D. A resident for 32 years, she was World War II Army veteran, a member of the Harbor and Daylite chapters of the Eastern Star, J. Edgar Hoover Police Post 55, American Legion, Mesquite Club, U.S. Government Federal Civil Service and Retired Officers Wives Club, president of Clark County Heritage Museum Guild and a lifetime member of the National Intelligence Corps Association.
She is survived by three brothers, Max Pozarnsky of Baton Rouge, La., Charles Pozarnsky of Orange Park, Fla., and Daniel Pozarnsky of Ruso; and one sister, Myrtle Kirkuliet of Great Falls, Mont.
Visitation is scheduled 2-4 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services and burial will be in South Dakota.
E.J. 'Tex' Young
E.J. "Tex" Young, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 23, 1919, in Texhoma, Okla. A resident for 52 years, he was a craps dealer at the Tropicana, a World War II Navy veteran and a former member of the Breakfast Exchange Club.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy M.; one daughter, Becky Jones of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled 3-5:30 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. A memorial service will follow at 6:30 p.m. today in the First Christian Church, Mesquite Ave.
