August John Albert
August John Albert, 99, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 12, 1903, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 15 years, he was a recreation director for Sperry Gyroscope Co. in New York, a floorman at a local casino, a master mason and a member of Delta Lodge, Delta, Colo.
He is survived by one stepdaughter, Patricia Albert of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
No services are scheduled. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Fran C. Borba
Fran C. Borba, 58, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born April 29, 1944,in San Francisco. A resident for five years, she was an assistant escrow officer.
She is survived by her husband, Richard J.; one daughter, Terri A. Campbell of Fall City, Wash.; two sons, Richard C. Borba and Jeffrey A. Borba, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Patricia Miller of Sun Prairie, Wis.; three brothers, John Pelleriti of El Granada, Calif., Philip Pelleriti of Tijeras, N.M., and Richard Pelleriti of San Jose, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11:30 a.m. services Saturday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Joseph Fargo
Joseph Fargo, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 14, 1921, in Sicily. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired businessman, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the American Legion in Norco, Calif., and the Teamsters Union.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; two sons, Joseph Fargo and Samuel Fargo, both of Riverside, Calif.; five daughters, Debra Schoonover and Patricia Owens, both of Riverside, Sharon Clark of Redding, Calif., Sandra Krenz of Crescent City, Calif., and Toni Fargo-Palmer of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
Victoria L. Grant
Victoria L. Grant, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 22, 1919, in Cleveland. A resident for 28 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Beatrice Galati of Las Vegas; one sister, Johanna Zack of Cleveland; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 9 a.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Arlene Eloise McBride
Arlene Eloise McBride, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 13, 1926, in California. A resident for 26 years, she was a retired civil service employee at Nellis Air Force Base and was a member of Eastern Star.
She is survived by three daughters, Debbie Gladden and Patricia Prucha, both of Las Vegas, and Karie Rosser of Florida; one son, Douglas Blake of Colorado; one sister, Carol Wright of California; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Monday at Nellis Air Force Base chapel. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Debra Lou Nichols
Debra Lou Nichols, 46, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 30, 1956, in Alabama. A resident for 4 1/2 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; his parents, George and Donna Legan of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and one sister, Brenda Corbett of Virginia.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private family services.
Virgil Ray Romack
Virgil Ray Romack, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born March 24, 1924, in Jennings, Okla. A resident for eight years, he was a retired liquor store owner-operator, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Elks.
He is survived by one daughter, Janet Romack, and one son, Ray Romack, both of Pampa, Texas; one sister, Nadine Love of Rogers, Ark.; and one grandchild.
Graveside services will be noon Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Theodoshia Williams
Theodoshia Williams, 93, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 26, 1908, in Carthage, Ark. A resident for two years, she was a retired airport security officer.
She is survived by many friends and relatives.
Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 4 p.m. service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
George Wilson
George Wilson, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in Henderson. He was born June 18, 1937, in Ohio. A resident for many years, he was a salesman.
He is survived by his nephew, Chip Corbitt of Las Vegas.
Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Woodlawn Cemetery. Burial will be in Illinois. Hites Funeral Home, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
