Rebecca Alamian

Rebecca Alamian, 92, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 15, 1909, in Armenia. A resident for 11 years, she was a seamstress and a member of the American Ladies Society.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in California. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Raymond H. Benjamin

Raymond H. Benjamin, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. He was born Feb. 22, 1920, in Chicago. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired service station owner, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, a member of Masonic Lodge Oasis 41, Zelzah Shrine and Scottish Rite.

He is survived by one son, Randy Benjamin of Las Vegas; two sisters, Dorothy Shearer of Chicago and Shirley Cari of Minnesota; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 6 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will be private.

The family suggests donations to Shriners Childrens Hospital, Zelzah Shrine Temple, 2222 W. Mesquite Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89106.

Joseph Edward Blair

Joseph Edward Blair, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 30, 1927, in Washington, D.C. A resident for one year, he did maintenance for a water purification company.

He is survived by his companion, Delores Gillette, and two daughters, Debra Blair and Carrie McKitterick, all of Henderson; one son, Steven Blair of Australia; two sisters, Francis and Maryanne Blair, both of Maryland; and four grandchildren.

Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Rodney D. Brown Sr.

Rodney D. Brown Sr., 44, of Las Vegas died Sept. 1 in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 10, 1956, in Chicago. A resident for two years, he was a restaurant manager, a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran and a member of Harley Owners Group, Southern Nevada Chapter.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly; one son, Rod Brown Jr. of Las Vegas; one daughter, Annette Brown of Blue Island, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Rosemei L. Castellucci

Rosemei L. Castellucci, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday. A homemaker, she was born April 9, 1920, in Jaffery, N.H.

She is survived by one son, Joseph Castellucci Jr. of Wellington, Fla.; two sisters, Louise LaSaulce of Keene, N.H., and Irene Masse of Troy, N.H.; one brother, Morris LaSaulce of Jeffrey, N.H.; and four grandchildren.

Katherine Cowley

Katherine Cowley, 39, of Las Vegas died Sept. 1 in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 19, 1962, in Nevada. A lifelong resident, she was a cashier.

She is survived by her husband, Morris; four sons, Chris Shaffer, Michael Cowley, Morris Cowley and Randy Thomas; three daughters, Melissa Houser, Michelle Cowley and Kimberly Thomas; two brothers, Richard Shaffer and Larry Pritchard; one sister, Bonnie Kofol; and one grandchild.

Joseph Ferdinand Esposito

Joseph Ferdinand Esposito, 70, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 6, 1931, in Massachusetts. A resident for 10 years, he was a casino porter.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey; four sons, Joe Esposito Jr., Frank Esposito, Joey Zachariah and Gary Barendregt; one brother, Fred Esposito; one sister, Lucy Esposito; and six grandchildren.

John D. Gaspartich

John D. Gaspartich, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born March 31, 1925, in New York City. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired accountant and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two brothers, Edward Gaspartich of Cliffside Park, N.J., and William F. Gaspartich of Venice, Fla.

Tommy Lee Gest Jr.

Tommy Lee Gest Jr., 38, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 9, 1963, in San Diego. A resident for 10 years, he was a commercial artist.

He is survived by one daughter, Ashley Gest, one son, Dayton Gest, and his mother, Laura Gregory, all of Las Vegas; his father, Tommy Gest Sr. of Indiana; two brothers, Billy Shaw Gest of Los Angeles and Delray Gregory of Bakersfield, Calif.; and two sisters, Denise Griffin of La Mesa, Calif., and Valerie Packard of Fresno, Calif.

Graveside services were scheduled at 1:20 p.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

Gary Gustafson

Gary Gustafson, 55, of Las Vegas died Aug. 30 in Las Vegas. He was born July 18, 1946, in Vinton, Iowa. A resident for 26 years, he was a cabinetmaker.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; one son, Daniel Gustafson of Hot Springs, Ark.; two daughters, Dayle Patronik of Las Vegas and Dawn Baker of Columbia, Miss.; three brothers, Phillip Gustafson of California, Ronald Gustafson of Missouri and James Gustafson of Ohio; and three grandchildren.

Betty L. Hahn

Betty L. Hahn, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 19, 1918, in Colorado. A resident for 48 years, she was a waitress and a member of the Culinary Union.

She is survived by one daughter, Marjorie Chorn of Las Vegas; three sisters, Barbara Hart, Jean McFate and Dorothy Krater, all of California; three brothers, Richard Shrader and Thomas Shrader, both of Colorado, and Robert Shrader of Salt Lake City; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

David Harris Sr.

David Harris Sr., 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 22, 1935, in Michigan. A resident for five years, he had been a Michigan state employee, a member of American Association of Retired Persons, Moose and Junior Chamber of Commerce.

He is survived by his wife, Clara; five sons, David Paul Harris, Dan Harris, Jon Harris, David Allen Jr. and Geoff French; one daughter, April Rathburn; and 16 grandchildren.

Mike Hergett

Mike Hergett, 56, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 27, 1945, in Springfield, Ill. A resident for 21 years, he was an employee in the pest control industry.

He is survived by two sons, Casey Hergett of Arkansas and Shane Hergett of Indiana; and two brothers Phillip Hergett and Alan Hergett, both of Las Vegas.

Moe Hirsch

Moe Hirsch, 94, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 7, 1907, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired printing company owner.

He is survived by one daughter, Fredda Schneidt of Forest Hills, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

Ellen H. Link, 78, of Henderson died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 28, 1922, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, George; two sons, Dale Martin of California and Lynn Kobert of Pittsburgh; one daughter, Ellen Tagliavia of Henderson; one brother, Jerry Cook of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Georgetta Dougherty of Pittsburgh and Nancy Sumerall of Seattle; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Andrew Perna

Andrew Perna, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 21, 1918, in Philadelphia. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired Army veteran, a member of the Pearl Harbor Association and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by one son, William Perna of Las Vegas; one sister, Margaret Perna of New Jersey; and one grandchild.

Lulu M. Peters

Lulu M. Peters, 70, died Friday. She was born April 26, 1931, in Twin Falls, Idaho. A former resident of Las Vegas, she was a drugstore cashier, a member of the Union Pacific Junior Old Timers and Old Timers.

She is survived by three sons, Terry H. Peters of Kern County, Calif., Louis D. Peters of Abeline, Texas, and Woney J. Peters of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho; her foster son, Wayne Paris of Hendersonville, N.C.; one sister, Leota Miller of Boulder City; three brothers, her twin Louis Sims of Las Vegas, Carl Baxter of Buckeye, Ariz., and Claude Baxter of Texas; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-5 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Josephine Rubi

Josephine Rubi, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born May 27, 1931, in Havana. A resident for 2 1/2 years, she was a school bus driver in Florida.

She is survived by two daughters, Josephine Rubi and Lydia M. Briggs; one brother, Venancio Fernandez; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Tommy Ray Steele

Tommy Ray Steele, 57, of Las Vegas died Sunday. He was born Jan. 30. 1944, in Texas. A resident for 15 years, he was a chef for Station Casinos and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his mother, Jewel Steele; one son, Jason Steele; one daughter, Valerie Steele; one brother, Paul Steele; one sister, Karen Borg; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow at noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Donald Francis Walker

Donald Francis Walker, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 1, 1930, in Canada. A resident for five years, he was a retired Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; one son, Richard Walker; and five grandchildren.

Ruby Jewel Warden

Ruby Jewel Warden, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 29, 1929, in Jones, La. A resident for six years, she was an elevator operator for 27 years at the Los Angeles courts.

She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Williams and Beverly Warden, both of Los Angeles, and Lawasa Harrison of Las Vegas; one brother, Leon Henry of Fontana, Calif.; one sister, Dorothy Quillar of California City, Calif.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mary B. Zupancic-Andreen

Mary B. Zupancic-Andreen, 41, of Las Vegas died Aug. 25 in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 12, 1960, in Charleston, S.C. A resident for 29 years, she was a casino worker for more than 20 years, a member of the Culinary Union and a 1978 graduate of Western High School.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick; two sons, Casey Andreen and Patrick Andreen, one daughter, Alicia Andreen, and her parents, Thomas and Patricia Zupancic, all of Las Vegas; four sisters, Debi Dorman, Sherry Zupancic and Tina Hall, all of Las Vegas, and Dona Dolezal of Phoenix; and two brothers, Thomas Zupancic Jr. and Martin Zupancic of California.

Services will be 6 p.m. Monday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Burial will be private.
