A subsidiary of Las Vegas-based Anchor Gaming has been awarded a new contract for Delaware's state lottery.
The new contract for Automated Wagering International will have a seven-year term with five one-year extensions available at the option of lottery officials. AWI has been the contracted supplier since the lottery opened in 1978.
A company spokesman today said terms of the new agreement are proprietary and are not being disclosed.
The contract calls for AWI to provide the computerized lottery central system in addition to retailer terminals. AWI also will provide a video lottery central system and related equipment to monitor gaming machines at the state's three racetracks.
