Joe Delaney remembers 1994: Kerr, ‘Boylesque’ at the Sahara

Kenny Kerr, a Streisand look-alike in costume and a brilliant comedian, especially chatting impromptu with his audience, made his Las Vegas debut as the star of "Boy-lesque" at the Silver Slipper in the 1980s. By the early 1990s the Silver Slipper was no more and Kerr and his company of female impressionists had leased the Sahara Congo Room (now the remodeled home of magician Steve Wyrick). Kerr ended last century downtown at the Plaza. Today his "The New Kenny Kerr Show" is at the New Frontier with live music, three singer-dancers and Kerr as Kerr, except for brief stints replicating Streisand and Cher.
