Sidney Benjamin 'Skip' Affleck

Sidney Benjamin "Skip" Affleck, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 29, 1931, in Ely. A lifelong resident of Nevada, he owned and operated Affleck & Conti Insurance Co. until his retirement in 1999. He was a Korean War Air Force veteran.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle Conti.

He is survived by his wife, Naoma; one daughter, Heide Renee Eisinger of Las Vegas; one sister, Betty Louise of Minersville, Utah; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service and celebration of Skip's life will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the LDS Desert View Chapel on Warm Springs Road and Arville St. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Terry R. Bradbury

Terry R. Bradbury, 55, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 11, 1945, in Modesto, Calif. A resident for 13 years, he was a bartender and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Teri Lea Hardin of Heavener, Okla.; three stepdaughters, Sandy Meirhaeghe and Kim Huff, both of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Lorie Hosman of Henderson; one stepson, Kenneth Ellithorpe of Phoenix; his mother, Patricia Bradbury, one sister, Sharon Kirk, and one brother, Douglas Bradbury, all of Modesto, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

David L. Brumback Sr.

David L. Brumback Sr., 40, of Las Vegas died Tuesday. He was born Nov. 21, 1960, in Santa Clara, Calif. A resident for 40 years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by three sons, David L. Brumback II, Cassidy Brumback and Jesse Brumback, his mother, Hazel R. Brumback, and one sister, Janis Cranmer, all of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Jim Brumback of Wenatchee, Wash., and Charles Brumback III of Las Vegas.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Ann Fondo

Ann Fondo, 63, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 11, 1937, in Widnes, Lancashire, England. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired school clerk and registrar at Sunset High School, and John S. Park and Jack Dailey elementary schools.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; one son, Frank J. Fondo of Las Vegas; two sisters, Josephine Blackburn of South Port, England, and Margurite Bristow of Hastings, England; and two brothers, Anthony Mayock of Runcorn, England, and John Mayock of Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City.

Benjamin Golub

Benjamin Golub, 90, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 17, 1911, in New York. A resident for many years, he was a police officer.

He is survived by one son, William Golub of Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Florida. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Clara Griffin

Clara Griffin, 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in Henderson. She was born Nov. 23, 1931, in Pelahatchie, Miss. A resident for 34 years, she was a hotel front-desk supervisor.

She is survived by two daughters, Darlene Bradley of Asheville, N.C., and Sherry Winkler of Henderson; one brother, Mike Brock of Alabama; two sisters, Daisy McDonald and Dorothy White, both of Pearl, Miss.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday in Green Valley Baptist Church, 270 N. Valle Verde Drive, Henderson. Burial will be in Mississippi. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

John H. Habura

John H. Habura, 56, of Las Vegas died Saturday. He was born March 5, 1945, in Chicago. A Las Vegas resident for four years, he was a trust officer for Wells Fargo Bank.

He is survived by his mother, Theresa Habura of Las Vegas; and three sons, Brian John, Michael John and David John, all of Peoria, Ariz.

James Hanley

James Hanley, 80, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A resident for many years, he was born July 1, 1920.

Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

LaNelle 'Tex' Harlin

LaNelle "Tex" Harlin, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 15, 1931, in Duval, Okla. A resident for 39 years, she was an accountant for a government security firm.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin; four sons, David Harlin, Martin Harlin, Mitch Harlin and Benjamin Lucero; four daughters, Laura Carpenter, Barbara DiPaolo, Deborah Harlin and Vicki Lucero; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A reception in her honor to celebrate her life will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Elks Lodge, 4100 W. Charleston Blvd. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Ruby Holliday

Ruby Holliday, 78, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local health care center. She was born May 22, 1923, in Choctaw, Ala. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.

Visitation is scheduled noon-4 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Betty Mae Holmberg

Betty Mae Holmberg, 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 5, 1929. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Doug Holmberg of Wausau, Wis.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Price, Wis. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Marie Harriet McDonald

Marie Harriet McDonald, 93, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born June 14, 1908, in Kansas. A resident for 30 years, she was a grocery store cashier and a retired Culinary Union worker.

She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Perkins and Donna McDonald; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Donald I. McKamy

Donald I. McKamy, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 17, 1920, in Burlington, Iowa. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired Marine Corps major and a member of the U.S. Power Squadron and National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma M.; one son, Douglas of Chicago; two daughters, Seanet and Kimberly, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-3 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Hildred A. Robl

Hildred A. Robl, 93, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 22, 1908, in Ellinwood, Kan. A resident for 33 years, she was an employee of a federal land bank.

She is survived by one brother, Fr. Eugene Robl, and one sister, Magdalen Robl, both of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Monday in St. Anne's Chapel on South Maryland Parkway. Burial was private. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Barney Peter Sotelo

Barney Peter Sotelo, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 28, 1929, in Raymond, Calif. A resident for 34 years, he was a sales manager, a Clark County School District crossing guard and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Betty; one son, Kenny Sotelo of Las Vegas; three daughters, Kathy Yohner and Susan Kightlinger, both of Las Vegas and Cindy Ward of Hamilton, Mont.; one brother, Joe Sotelo; four sisters, Josie Serrano, Petera Gonzales, Connie Lewis and Patty Ann Anndrup; and seven grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Calvary Chapel, 7175 W. Oquendo Road. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Manuel J. Villarreal

Manuel J. Villarreal, 46, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 23, 1955, in St. George, Utah. A lifelong resident, he was a carpenter in new home construction.

He is survived by one daughter, Tina Marie Villarreal of Davie, Fla.; one son, Santiago C. Villarreal, one stepson, Vincent G. Tripp, and her mother, Nellie May Villarreal, all of Las Vegas; four sisters, Lydia M. Villarreal, Emilia Quintanilla and Isabel Lopez, all of Las Vegas and Mariann Poling of Belmar, N.J.; and her grandmother, Nellie Winsor of Logandale.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Monday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Gino Zaccone

Gino Zaccone, 39, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 9, 1961, in Philadelphia. A resident for 35 years, he owned and operated Deli 300 and was known as the "Sandwich King" for more than 11 years.

He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn; two sons, Christopher James Zaccone and Brandon Thomas Zaccone, his parents, Marie and Joseph Zaccone, and one brother, Mario Zaccone, all of Las Vegas; and one sister, Elizabeth King of Vista, Calif.

A memorial service will be 4:30 p.m. today in Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 1350 E. Pebble Road. Burial will be private. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
