Local student completes D.C. leadership course

A top graduate of Mountain View Christian Schools' class of 2001 completed a 10-day leadership course in Washington, D.C.
Stephanie Ricardo attended a program at American University focusing on international diplomacy. The National Student Leadership Conference, which began programs for youth in 1989, arranged the curriculum. Ricardo graduated No. 3 in her class from Mountain View Christian Schools, which is at 3900 E. Bonanza Road between Pecos Road and Lamb Boulevard.
While in Washington July 5-15, Ricardo learned about international trade, foreign relations, human rights and other issues. Ricardo is also a graduate of the Leadership Youth Las Vegas program sponsored by the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.
