Letter: Mideast coverage is balanced
Wednesday, July 18, 2001 | 9:03 a.m.
The reason I get the Las Vegas Sun is because I believe it has "balanced" reporting. I believe most newspapers in this country are biased against Israel and it's good to know that the Sun will report both sides of an issue.
Regarding the Arab minority in Israel, it's not easy to be a minority in any country. But one issue is clear: The death of Arab children is caused by Arab parents encouraging them to be at the very forefront of conflict. Why would anyone risk his or her child's life? Have you ever seen any Jewish children throwing stones?
Golda Meir once commented, "We will have peace when they love their children more than they hate us." Well, that time hasn't come yet.
