Letter: Notch babies need Bush’s help
Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001 | 9:55 a.m.
Mike O'Callaghan, the Sun's executive editor, said that the notch babies born between 1917-1926 may be fewer in numbers, but we will not go away.
As a World War II veteran I've written to some of our senators and congressmen. James Roosevelt was the only active voice for our concern.
Since I've moved to Las Vegas, I've known for a fact that Sen. Harry Reid has been fighting for our cause for quite some time. I'll vote for him anytime!
With this "great surplus" we have now -- and our president, George W. Bush, wants to be president for all the people -- we notch babies would like to see Bush step up to the plate on our behalf and get the notch babies' problem settled once and for all. We really would appreciate his support.
