Rebels’ Zoll to transfer; UNLV adds two players

UNLV announced that it has added two players during the early signing period which began Wednesday, but John Robinson's Rebels also lost a key offensive line returnee.
Redshirt freshman offensive tackle Jimy Zoll has left the program and is expected to transfer to another school. The 6-foot-7, 290-pounder from Santana High School in Santee, Calif., was expected to challenge for a starting spot at one of the two vacant tackle positions this spring after seeing limited time this past season as a reserve.
Zoll's departure makes the signing of offensive tackle Keith Kincaid (6-3, 285) even more important. Kincaid is transferring in from I-AA Cal State Northridge, which disbanded its football program last month. He started 34 consecutive games for the Matadores before redshirting this past season with a shoulder injury. He has just one year of eligibility remaining.
Also signing this week was Danny Jones of Fresno City College. He is expected to battle for the starting cornerback spot left vacant by the graduation of Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year Kevin Thomas.
