The UNLV men's golf team has signed J.C. Deacon of Unionville, Ontario, Canada, to a national letter of intent.
A standout golfer at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy in Bradenton, Fla., Deacon is ranked 63rd in the latest Golfweek U.S. Boys amateur golf rankings.
He is a member of the Canadian Junior National team that qualified to play in the World Junior Championships in Tokyo next summer.
Deacon joins Ryan Moore, who signed with UNLV during the early signing period last fall, to complete the Rebels' 2001 recruiting class.
