Nancy E. Allen

Nancy E. Allen, 61, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born July 27, 1939, in Jamestown, Tenn. A resident for 40 years, she was an office manager for a resort.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert of Bullhead City, Ariz.; three daughters, Elizabeth Collinsworth and Teresa Canepa, both of Las Vegas, and Sheila Flores of North Las Vegas; two sons, Richard Collinsworth of Los Alamos, N.M., and Fredrick Baker of Cummings, Ga.; and 13 grandchildren.

Services are private. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Patricia Annette Barger

Patricia Annette Barger, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 24, 1925, in Tennessee. A resident for 14 years, she was a bookkeeper.

She is survived by one son, Rick Barger, and one daughter, Kathryn Allen, both of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. services Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Jeffery Lyn Benson

Jeffery Lyn Benson, 37, of Las Vegas died Oct. 16 in Las Vegas. He was born May 16, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio. A resident for 26 years, he was a construction worker.

He is survived by his wife, Stacy; two sons, Nathan Allen Benson and Tyler Robert Benson, four daughters, Crystal Marie Benson, Amber Michelle Benson, Tatum Lee Benson and Paris Nicole Benson, one stepson, Justin Kristopher Collins, and his father and stepmother, Gordon W. Benson and Yvonne Benson, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Janice M. Stuart of California; four brothers, Terry Andrew Benson, Gordon W. Benson Jr., Troy Jerome Benson and Jason Mark Fisher, all of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Pamela Jean Burns of Pahrump and Brandy Michaelle Fisher of Las Vegas.

Anastasius Bishop

Anastasius Bishop, 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Jan. 17, 1916, in Barca, Greece. A resident for five years, he was a retired restaurant owner.

He is survived by one daughter, Heather Bobenhausen of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled 1 p.m. Thursday in Community Lutheran Church. Burial will be private. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Iris JoAnn Brown

Iris JoAnn Brown, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born May 20, 1934, in Alpena Pass, Ark. A resident for 33 years, she was a homemaker and she and her husband operated the Lone Palm Trailer Park at Tropicana Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard for 30 years.

She is survived by her husband, William; three daughters, Cheryl Davis of Austin, Texas, and Debra Southerland and Linda Dimino, both of Las Vegas; three sisters, June, Dorothy and Donna; two brothers, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services are scheduled 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Downtown.

Anthony J. Cannella

Anthony J. Cannella, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born May 30, 1926, in Rockford, Ill. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired golf course marshal and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Luke V. Cannella and Marc A. Cannella, and one stepson, Matthew C. Gryder, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Margaret Hogan and Frances Cannella, both of Rockford; one brother, Charles Cannella of Yucaipa, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled 4 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Kay B. Conte

Kay B. Conte, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born June 11, 1932, in Newton, N.C. A resident for 30 years, she was an accounting secretary at the Sahara hotel.

She is survived by one brother, Lloyd Bumgarner Sr. of Sanford, N.C.; and three sisters, Willa Mae Huffman of Maiden, N.C., Lillian Williams of Newton and Mildren Cline of Conover, N.C.

Sarah 'Sally' Duncan

Sarah "Sally" Duncan, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 21, 1917, in Alaska, W.Va. A resident for 33 years, she was a retired hotel executive secretary.

She is survived by three stepdaughters, Nancy Ballew of Independence, Mo., Anne Barber of Blue Springs, Mo., and Carmen Worden of Cape Fair, Mo.; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 3 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Doris Elaine Evans-Goldsby

Doris Elaine Evans-Goldsby, 66, of Pahrump died Oct. 24 in Pahrump. She was born July 9, 1934, in New Orleans. A resident for 3 1/2 years, she was a registered nurse and a member of the women's auxiliary of the Church of the Harvest.

She is survived by her husband, Pastor Stanley T. Goldsby Sr.; four sons, Gary Hornsby of Illinois, Stan Goldsby Jr. of Nevada, Derrell Tyson of California and Justin; two daughters, Dominique Goldsby and Kiesha Marie Elaine Goldsby, both of Nevada; her mother, Vera Randle of New Orleans; and two sisters, Karen of New Orleans and Edie Porter of Las Vegas.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today in the Pahrump Family Mortuary Chapel. Services are scheduled 1 p.m. Wednesday the Pahrump Family Chapel. Burial will be in Chief Tecopa Cemetery.

Luther Graves Jr.

Luther Graves Jr., 51, of Las Vegas died Oct. 24 in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 16, 1949, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a hotel maintenance worker.

He is survived by one daughter, Shanell Griffin, his father, Luther Graves Sr., his companion, Charlene Lozano, two sisters, Vera Cherry and Sandy Graves and five brothers, Billy Graves, Roy Lee Graves, Leevan Graves, Willie Earl and Andy Graves, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services are scheduled 1 p.m. Thursday in Bunker Chapel.

Manuel S. Guevara

Manuel S. Guevara, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born July 25, 1933, in Miraflores, Peru. A resident for five years, he was a retired hospital housekeeper.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; one daughter, Amy Schaffer of Torrance, Calif.; two sisters, Maria Guevara and Elena Guevara, both of Peru; and one grandchild.

Theodore Hanulak Sr.

Theodore Hanulak Sr., 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 1, 1940, in New York City. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired jeweler.

He is survived by one daughter, Janine Hanulak of New York; two sons, Ted Hanulak Jr. of Indiana and Dan Hanulak of Arizona; his parents, Julia and Stanley Hanulak, both of Nevada; and two grandchildren.

Murray Herman

Murray Herman, 85, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born March 23, 1915, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired furrier.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; four daughters, Leslye Trompeter of Roslyn Heights, N.Y., Jaimye Earls of Miami, Randye Feltman of Miami Beach, Fla., and Vickye Arama of Las Vegas; one brother Hy Herman of New York; and six grandchildren.

Theodore Frederick Kowalezyk

Theodore Frederick Kowalezyk, 58, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 25, 1942. A resident for 27 years, he was a foreman for the water district and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by one son, James of Las Vegas; one brother, Rudy Kowalczyk of Connecticut; and one grandchild.

Elena 'Helen' Martinez

Elena "Helen" Martinez, 86, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born April 17, 1914, in Chama, N.M. A resident for 37 years, she was a homemaker and was active in Cub Scouts, Boys Scouts, Brownies, Girl Scouts and the PTA.

She is survived by four daughters, Gloria Ferree, Romona Baughman and Helen Tope, all of Henderson, and Rose Crocetti of Las Vegas; one son, Reynaldo L. Martinez of Falls Church, Va.; two sisters, Servilia Johnson of Santa Fe, N.M., and Lola Espinoza of Henderson; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-7:30 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Donald D. McGregor

Donald D. McGregor, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born July 19, 1924, in South Dakota. A resident for 37 years, he was an electrician in the construction industry an Army Air Corp veteran, a member of the AOPA pilots association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, a past member of the Moose and a 50-year member of IBEW.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons, Dean J. McGregor, David J. McGregor and Douglas J. McGregor; one daughter, Doris J. Casebeer; two brothers, Gordon McGregor and Robert Kent McGregor; one sister, Audrey Reavis, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Donald L. Myers

Donald L. Myers, 88, of New Albany, Ind., died Saturday in New Albany. A former Las Vegas resident from 1963 until 1997, he was a retired furniture store owner, a member of the Elks for many years and a UNLV booster.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria of Clarksville, Ind.; one daughter, Jeryce M. Russell of Las Vegas; one son, Dan E. Myers of Louisiana; two brothers, Kenneth Myers of Sargent, Neb., and Jack Myers of Denver, Colo.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services are scheduled 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Ethel Mae O'Rourke

Ethel Mae O'Rourke, 92, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local convalescent center. She was born Nov. 20, 1907, in Murphysboro, Ill. A resident for five years, she was a department store saleswoman.

She is survived by one son, David Allen O'Rourke of Las Vegas.

Patsy Ruth Parker, 60, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born April 15, 1940, in Wascomb, Texas. A lifelong resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, La Tania Webb of North Las Vegas and Melanie Murphy of Las Vegas; her companion, Ruel Rawls of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

Bette J. Reincke

Bette J. Reincke, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 12, 1932, in Lake City, Minn. A resident for five months, she was a retired newspaper editor.

She is survived by one son, Steve Reincke of Las Vegas; one daughter, Jeanne Reincke of Long Beach, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Patricia A. Robinson, 70, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 4, 1930, in Chelsea, Mass. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired parochial school teacher.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; and one brother, Edward Gorman of Florida.

Dominique C. Smith, one month and 15 days, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 13 in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her mother and father, Bananto and Daniell Smith, one sister, Brianna Smith, her grandparents, Anne and Lawrence Barnes, Joe Cooper, Wanda Dupree and James Smith, all of North Las Vegas.

Patricia Ruth Springer, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 21, 1929, in Michigan. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; one son, Howard of Michigan; two daughters, Cynthia and Loreen, both of Michigan; one sister, Beverly Anne of Michigan; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Franklin Delano Walchar

Franklin Delano Walchar, 59, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born April 25, 1941, in Weimar, Texas. A resident for three years, he was an accountant and was in special service to the Korean army.

He is survived by five daughters, Suzanne Elliott-Vogt of Royse City, Texas, Tammy Leos of Dallas, Meredith Walchar of Boulder City and Heather Walchar and Dawn Elizabeth Walchar, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Evelyn Shumbera of Weimar; two brothers, George Walchar of Schulenburg, Texas, and Willie Walchar of Weimar; his companion, Judy Leavitt of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

James Welpman

James Welpman, 66, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born May 15, 1934, in Missouri. A resident for 27 years, he was a hotel gardener, Navy veteran and a member of NRA.

He is survived by two sons, Mark Steven Welpman and Michael "Lenny" Leonard; one brother, Samuel Leroy Welpman; one sister, Nora Mae Hubbard; and her grandchildren.

Betty I. Yelverton

Betty I. Yelverton, 78, of Henderson died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 16, 1922, in Omaha, Neb. A resident for 44 years, she was a waitress, the founder of Akita Club of Las Vegas, co-founder of Las Vegas Shar-Pei Club and co-founder of Black Mountain Kennel Club of Henderson.

She is survived by her husband, Walter; one son, Chuck Brough of Las Vegas; two daughters, Julie Beimer of Las Vegas and Nancy York of Corvallis, Mont.; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
