Sally Mineva Mary Bosse

Sally Mineva Mary Bosse, 94, of Henderson died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 19, 1905, in Springfield, S.D. A resident for 47 years, she was a Clark County School District teacher.

She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Hammond of Las Vegas; three grandsons and three great-granddaughters.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

William Alfred Burroughs

William Alfred Burroughs, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A block layer, he was born Oct. 6, 1924, in New Jersey.

George M.M. Burton

George M.M. Burton, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 7, 1923, in Klamath Falls, Ore. A resident for nine years, he was a retired CPA in the forest products industry, a Marine Corps veteran, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Shriners.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; two daughters, Geri Parks of Las Vegas and Lorrie Falkenberry of Henderson; three sons, Bill Burton of San Angelo, Texas, Marne Bonillas of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Rick Bonillas of Sacramento; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling private arrangements.

William Emerson Curry

William Emerson Curry, 79, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. An insurance executive, he was born Sept. 28, 1921, in Wisconsin.

He is survived by many loving family members.

Francis Xavier Diehl

Francis Xavier Diehl, 57, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 15, 1943, in Philadelphia. A resident for 11 years, he was a construction manager and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene; six daughters, Dori Peterson, Amy Kearns and Lisa Call, all of Utah, Kim Deluzio of New Jersey and Amy Daniels and Katie Diehl, both of Pennsylvania; one son, Kevin Diehl of Pennsylvania; one sister, Roseanne Jordal of New Jersey; two brothers, William Diehl of Virginia and Jim Diehl of Pennsylvania; and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until noon services Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Pennsylvania.

Dorothy Geary, 63, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born Aug. 30, 1937, in Chicago. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; one daughter, Cathy Kegl of New Lenox, Ill.; one son, Bill Geary Jr. of Elmhurst, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Patricia A. Godin

Patricia A. Godin, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born April 26, 1930, in Malden, Mass. A resident for two years, she was a registered nurse.

She is survived by two daughters, Shevawn Peters of Las Vegas and Laurelle Godin-Silva of Tulare, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Wednesday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in California.

Joseph Wesley Horden

Joseph Wesley Horden, 88, of Miami died Sunday in Miami. He was born Feb. 1, 1912, in Las Vegas. A former Las Vegas resident, he had been a croupier at several Fremont Street casinos and was a World War II Army veteran. He was the son of John Wesley Horden, a Las Vegas pioneer who arrived in Southern Nevada in 1904, opened the Gem saloon on North First Street and eventually moved the building to the corner of Fremont and Main streets, where it became the Las Vegas Club.

Joseph Wesley Horden is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Horden Gordon of Miami; one sister, Jayne Horden Graglia of Newport Beach, Calif.; one brother, Charles Robert Horden of Las Vegas; and one granddaughter.

No local services are scheduled. Florida Mortuary Chapel, Miami, is handling arrangements. Burial will be in Los Angeles.

Ruth Reynolds Jackson

Ruth Reynolds Jackson, 66, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born April 21, 1934, in Aberdeen, Miss. A resident for 16 years, she retired from Whitehall Jewelers as a saleswoman.

She is survived by three daughters, Lucretia P. Findley and Ramona J. Reynolds, both of Las Vegas and Sharon K. Kenner of Clive, Iowa; one son, Anthony C. Reynolds of Kansas City, Kan.; one stepdaughter, Irene Reynolds of Macon, Ga.; one stepson, Robert L. Reynolds of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three brothers, Archie Butler of Las Vegas, Buford Butler of Liberty, Mo., and William Butler of Kansas City, Mo.; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow at noon Thursday in Palm Memorial Park.

James William Johnston

James William Johnston, 65, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 9, 1935, in New York City. A resident for 19 years, he retired as a New York City police sergeant after 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine; one son, Thomas P. Johnston, and one daughter, Noreen A. Rogers, both of Henderson; and three grandchildren.

James P. LaBarber, 77, of Boulder City died Saturday in Boulder City. He was born Sept. 13, 1923, in California. A resident for 23 years, he was a retired electrical engineer, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Elks.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Edith; one daughter, Tracy Fanelli of Lake Forest, Calif.; two sons, Jim LaBarber of Anaheim Hills, Calif., and Gary LaBarber of Chino, Calif.; his mother, Flo LaBarber, and one sister, Beverly Schwager, both of Bend, Ore.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Alvin Maxwell, 63, of Boulder City died Monday in Boulder City. He was born Nov. 29, 1936, in New York City. A resident for four years, he was a retired paramedic and a Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; two daughters, Lisa Stafford and Tanya Martin, two sons, Ronald Maxwell and LeVar Maxwell, and one stepson, Jason Sondrol, all of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Stephanie Pechulis of Preston, Minn., and Amanda Sondrol of Boulder City; one sister, Judith Smith of New York City; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; two daughters, Marcella Richardson of Fullerton, Calif., and Joyce Snyder of Henderson; one son, Curt Procedo of Riverside, Calif.; two brothers, Fred Procedo of Pasadena, Calif., and Steven Procedo of Altadena, Calif.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Eugene R. "Gene" Ross, 76 of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 27, 1923, in Galena, Kan. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired hospital construction representative, a World War II and Korean War Army veteran, a member of the Scottish Rite and a 32nd Degree Mason.

He is survived by two daughters, Carmen Ross of Las Vegas and Leslie Ross of Garland, Texas.

He is survived by two sons, Donald Slack of Woodland Hills, Calif., and Walter Slack of Amargosa Valley; one daughter, Kathryn Clayton of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Floyd R. Thatcher, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 2, 1916, in Brinkhaven, Ohio. A resident for 48 years, he retired from Wackenhut Services as a sergeant after 23 years, was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Eloise; one daughter, Margie Fahrenbrink of Henderson; two sons, James L. Cooper of Las Vegas and Tom C. Cooper of Prather, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
