Joseph John Bako

Joseph John Bako, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 19, 1937, in Youngstown, Ohio. A resident for six years, he was a retired police officer and a Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jayne; one daughter, Cher Bako, and three sons, Michael Bako, Darrell Bako and John Bako, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Dee Sawaya of Valencia, Calif., and Patricia Balk and Marlene Tresca, both of Las Vegas; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 30 minutes prior to 5 p.m. services Friday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Raymond J. Bohlsen

Raymond J. Bohlsen, 78, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 8, 1922, in St. Cloud, Minn. A resident for nine years, he was a retired cabinetmaker, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Chicago Heights Moose Lodge, Disabled American Veterans and the Carpenters Union for 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta V.; four daughters, Bonita Bohlsen of Las Vegas, Judith Jajowka and Jayne Heft, both of Griffith, Ind., and Kathie Gans of Park Forest, Ill.; two sons, David Bohlsen of Oak Forest, Ill., and Wayne Bohlsen of Richton Park, Ill.; one brother, Norbert Bohlsen of St. Paul, Minn.; four sisters, Alvina Omann of Rice, Minn., Eleanor Leddy of St. Cloud, Jeanette Moore of Anoka, Minn., and Dolores Buttweiler of St. Paul, Minn.; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Marguerite E. 'Junie' Carson

Marguerite E. "Junie" Carson, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Nov. 30, 1924, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a retired executive secretary for the Clark County School District and she and her sisters were the original jitterbuggers at the Army Air Corps base.

She is survived by three sons, Richard B. Carson, Jeffrey J. Carson and Bradford R. Carson, one daughter, Julia R. Brandt, and one brother, George Phillips, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Frances MacMullen of Reno; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-5 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Johan Betty Gotshall

Johan Betty Gotshall, 72, of Pahrump died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born March 1, 1928, in Seaford, N.Y. A resident for 21 years, she was a retired school bus driver and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 10054.

She is survived by two daughters, Sally Reed of Pahrump and Rhonda Ceremony of Vacaville, Calif.; three sons, Ronald of San Diego, Robert of San Antonio and Ronny Gaskey of Waxahachie, Texas; one brother, Hector MacLeod of Redding, Calif.; and 2 1/2 grandchildren.

James E. Grimes

James E. Grimes, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 24, 1912, in Riverside, Tenn. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired janitor.

He is survived by one daughter, Addie Bonner of Las Vegas; one son, William Grimes of Muncie, Ind.; one sister, Francis Baker of Los Angeles; one brother, Samuel Grimes of Chicago; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be in Muncie. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Evelyn Hertz

Evelyn Hertz, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born May 3, 1926, in New York City. A resident for nine years, she was a retired legal secretary.

She is survived by her husband, Howard; one daughter, Susan Nancy Cook of Grandbury, Texas; one son, Ken A. Hertz of Houston; one brother, Herbert O. Gordon of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

John P. Householder

John P. Householder, 51, of Las Vegas died Nov. 2 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 22, 1949, in New Jersey. A resident for five years, he was an administrator in the petroleum industry and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Esther; three daughters, Desiree Lucille, Diana and Summer Dawn; two stepsons, Arturo and Alberto; one stepdaughter, Esther; two brothers, Jim and Kenneth; two sisters, Charlotte and Joann; and four grandchildren.

Services were 8:30 a.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

John Karajohn

John Karajohn, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1931, in San Antonio. A resident for 27 years, he was a service representative for the Social Security Administration and a retired Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; one daughter, Sally Karajohn, and one son, Dr. Nickolas Karajohn, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Louie Karajohn of New Bedford, Mass.; and four sisters, Alice Sylvia and Georgia Sylvia, both of New Bedford, Mary Kopplin of Las Vegas and Lita George of Tempe, Ariz.

Betty Jean Kern

Betty Jean Kern, 71, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. She was born July 7, 1929, in Mercedes, Texas. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker and volunteered at the Henderson Senior Citizens Center.

She is survived by three daughters, Jacqueline Wenger of Alma, Wis., and Celeste Kern and Cheryl Shaw, both of Henderson; two sons, Keith Kern of Phoenix and Stephen Kern of Alma, Wis.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

K.C. Roy King

K.C. Roy King, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 17, 1923, in England. A resident for 1 1/2 years, he was a retired psychiatric technician for a state hospital.

He is survived by one daughter, Crystal Glenn of Las Vegas; one sister, Shirley Mason of England; one brother, Colin King of Canada; and four grandchildren.

Jack H. List

Jack H. List, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 29, 1918, in Ambridge, Pa. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired painting contractor and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; one daughter, Nancy Pridgen of Universal City, Texas; one son, Bruce List of Las Vegas; two brothers, William List of West Farmington, Ohio, and Joseph List of Cortland, Ohio; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Josephine Ann MacDonald, 55, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born March 18, 1945, in Rockford, Ill. A resident for 32 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Sr.; one son, Robert MacDonald Jr., and one sister, Felicia Pella, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

William Thomas Maher Sr.

William Thomas Maher Sr., 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born April 9, 1936, in New York. A resident for four years, he was a heavy duty welder repairman in the construction industry and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby; three sons, William Maher Jr. and Joseph Maher, both of Las Vegas, and Michael Maher of San Diego; three daughters, Sherri Radford and Charmaine Johnson, both of San Diego, and Suzanne Gagne of Connecticut; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

James O. McClary

James O. McClary, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 10, 1933, in Charleston, S.C. A resident for 46 years, he was a retired truck driver, a Korean War Army veteran, a member of the Zelzah Shrine and Masonic Blue Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Georgette; one son, Bryn Van Denburg of Reno; one daughter, Kim Stovall of Camarillo, Calif.; two sisters, Dodie Mudrey of Las Vegas and Kathy Goodnow of Fredonia, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

LaDonna aka Kay Moyer, 57, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 25, 1943, in Wyoming. A resident for 46 years, she was an employee at Arizona Charlie's.

She is survived by her husband, John; one son, Steven Moyer, one daughter, Teresa Moyer, her father, James Gennette, and one sister, Mary Ann Gennette, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, James Gennette of Austin, Texas, and Robert Gennette of Portland, Ore.; and one granddaughter.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way.

Albert Pequeno, 56, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 7, 1944, in Texas. A resident for many years, he was a concrete company finisher.

He is survived by one daughter, Mary Burks of Arizona; and one brother, Paul Pequeno of Slayton, Texas.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-noon Friday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Adolfo D. Perez

Adolfo D. Perez, 47, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 20, 1952, in Havana. A resident for four years, he was a retired handyman.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; three daughters, Iraida Perez of Miami and Cecilia Perez and Kimberly Perez, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Yaser Perez of Havana and Adolfo Perez Jr. of Las Vegas; his mother, Emelia Perez of Las Vegas; two sisters, Gricelia Perez of Las Vegas and Maria A. Perez of the Philippines; and one grandchild.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today with a 5:30 p.m. service at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will be private.

Luigi Renzi

Luigi Renzi, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Providence, R.I. A resident for 19 years, he was a vending company owner-operator and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Anne Marie Blankenship, and two sons, Kenneth John Renzi and James Steven Renzi, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Rose Gordon and Delores Espossito, both of Rhode Island; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Rafael Spencer, 58, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born March 6, 1942, in Chicago. A resident for 30 years, he was a hotel maitre d'.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; four daughters, Jaelith Sue Spencer, Tamsin Rose Spencer and Amberlee Brooks Spencer, all of Montana, and Rochelle Spencer of Florida; one son, Ralph Gilbert Spencer of Florida; and two sisters, Judy Parker of Kentucky and Patricia Parker of Chickapin, N.C.

He is survived by his wife, Irene E.; two daughters, Linda Jean Vester of Volant, Pa., and Diane Lynn Reed of Narvon, Pa.; one son, David Walter Vandevort III of Oakdale, Pa.; one brother, Robert D. Vandevort of Henderson; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
