Greenspun Media Group, publisher of seven local publications, this week announced the appointment of Roger Saunders as vice president.
Saunders has more than 20 years of sales, advertising and publishing experience and most recently was regional vice president/general manager at Advo Inc., the nation's largest direct mail marketing services company.
Based in Cincinnati, Saunders was responsible for 600 employees, three production centers and 11 sales offices for more than 2,500 customers in six states. Previously, he was vice president of advertising for the Chicago Sun-Times.
At the Greenspun Media Group, Saunders will report to Phillip Peckman, chief operating officer of the Greenspun Corp.
"The media group has grown extensively over the past year. We look to Roger to manage the rapid growth of the weekly newspaper and magazine divisions and their publishers. His leadership allows us to provide leading edge products to our customers and advertisers," said Danny Greenspun, Greenspun Media Group president.
The Media Group includes the publications In Business Las Vegas, Las Vegas Life magazine, Las Vegas Weekly, the Ralston Report, ShowBiz Weekly and ShowBiz Japan and VegasGolfer.
The Greenspun family, owner of the Greenspun Media Group, also owns the Las Vegas Sun and the website vegas.com. The Sun also has an interest in the Las Vegas ONE all-news cable TV channel.
