2nd Race -- Timber Baron - Stalked with rail trip and close 3rd in last, broke maiden at this distance before that, draws another inside post, tactical style should play well in this, Flores returns on beaten Baffert-trained favorite. Power Wing - Raced between foes and 4th to top pick in last, second best at the fair before that, won at a mile with Pincay aboard three races back, draws good rail post and Pincay returns, should be a foward factor throughout. Value Play -- Saint Wynn
3rd Race -- Mia Victoria - Weakened in debut at Del Mar late-August in last, steady works since raced with sharp most recent drill on the 13th, takes significant drop in class for return, hustling bug boy gets chance here. Beware Miss Ides - 1st time starter by Regal Groom, steady worktab with pair of 6-panel gate drills from most recent trio of moves, good post and well placed, trainer Dominguez employs hustling Puglisi for debut. Value Play -- Moon Beaming
4th Race -- Gentle Words - Set pace and outfinished when runner up on Del Mar turf in last, loomed up and checked while debut 4th sprinting before that, returns to races with sharp worktab, draws good inner post, Nakatani returns on Canani trainee. Cuteness - Another who attended early going before splitting the field on Del Mar sod in last, debut 5th sprinting before that, returns to races with solid steady works, Stevens takes over on Thoroughbred Corporation entry. Value Play -- Glass Beauty
5th Race -- Icksnay - No speed when 5th from the rail in last, 4th while claimed at Bay Meadows before that, in the quinella 32 of 61 lifetime starts with 14 victories, drops below claimed price looking for first win of this year, Pincay/Carava team. Sand Pirate - Stumbled at the start and eliminated in last, 3rd at Fairplex before that, in the quinella 9 of 22 starts on fast dirt tracks with a half-dozen victories, back sprinting for this. 6th Race -- Boss Ego - Stalked, made bid and outkicked late when close 3rd over this course in last, gate-to-wire winner on Del Mar lawn before that, broke maiden at this distance on the main three races back, McCarron again on Ellis trainee. Flannigan - Closed with a flourish to just miss when 3rd by a neck after making up 14 lengths in last, in the quinella half of prior 8 starts with a pair of victories, Solis returns, should make late impact. 7th Race -- Brilliantly - Dueled lead from inside and gamely inched out a victory in last, in the quinella 4 of 7 Anita starts with a pair of wins and 3 of 4 overall at this distance with two victories, Ramsammy returns on Baffert trainee for repeat try. Elaborate - Dueled lead and held gamely to win sprinting in last, off-the-pace comeback victory off 21-month layoff at Del Mar before that, stretches out now, Flores returns on Gonzalez trainee, a factor throughout. 8th Race -- Kaaching - Stalked from rail post and 4th in last, gate-to-wire winner at the fair before that, set pace and runner up at a mile at Del Mar three races back, another bullet drill since raced, drops two levels for this, Puglisi again on West trainee. Free Companion - Stalked and tired at a mile on Bay Meadows turf in last, dueled lead and won sprinting before that, in the quinella 5 of 7 starts on fast dirt tracks with a trio of wins, Solis takes over for return to southland competition.
