Jean Borden
Jean Borden, 80, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 23, 1919, in Montgomery, Ala. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired hospital nurse's aide.
She is survived by one daughter, Jeri Paul of Las Vegas; one son, Michael Borden of Henderson; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today and 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. services Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Nadine Latach Cherry
Nadine Latach Cherry, 48, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 6, 1951, in Louisville, Ky. A resident for 26 years, she was a teacher's aide.
She is survived by two sons, Kevin Cherry of Okinawa, Japan, and Clarence Toliver of Las Vegas; two daughters, Kristin Cherry and Misty Cherry, both of Las Vegas; her father, Carl Wilson of Alabama; six brothers, Theodore Wilson of Kentucky, George Wilson, Jerrod Wilson and David Wilson, all of Indiana, Ronald Gregory of California and Carlton of Mississippi; one sister, Marva Robinson of California; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Monday in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Charles B. Dorance
Charles B. Dorance, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 20, 1922, in Donora, Pa. A resident for seven years, he was a retired maintenance mechanic and a World War II Coast Guard veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Olive L.; one son, Terry Dorance of Las Vegas; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Visitation was scheduled noon until 2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., followed by graveside services in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.
Rosetta L. Gray
Rosetta L. Gray, 46, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born May 20, 1953, in Florida. A resident for seven years, she was a real estate accountant.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur; two sons, Rick Gray of Las Vegas and Nick Gray of San Diego; two brothers, Charles Wiggins and Danny Wiggins, both of Florida; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. A private burial will follow.
Noriko Kope
Noriko Kope, 60, of Las Vegas died Nov. 29 in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 13, 1939, in Okinawa, Japan. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Harold; one daughter, Ruth Montgomery of Louisiana; one brother, Teliki Hokama, and two sisters, Fusako Kawakmi and Yoko Hokama, all of Okinawa; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. A private burial will follow.
William Albert MacWilliams
William Albert MacWilliams, 58, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 20, 1940, in Michigan. A resident for many years, he was a master electrician.
He is survived by his father, Henry MacWilliams, and one sister, Carol Walker, both of Florida.
No local services are scheduled. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Carmelo Rivera
Carmelo Rivera, 58, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 22, 1941, in Puerto Rico.
He is survived by his wife, Elsa; four children, Carmelin Rivera and Ana Cerna, both of California, and Argentina Rivera and Aura Castro, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Ana Rivera of New York; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 4 p.m. Monday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens Crematory.
Jeffery Scott Roberts
Jeffery Scott Roberts, 30, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 10, 1969, in Mississippi. A resident for 27 years, he was a bartender.
He is survived by his father, Jimmie P. Roberts of North Las Vegas; his mother, Kaye Saltz, and one brother, Jay Roberts, both of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Westminster Presbyterian Church, 4601 W. Lake Mead Blvd. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Rosemarie Sullivan
Rosemarie Sullivan, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday. She was born Nov. 11, 1931, in Queens, N.Y. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; one son, Jerome Cangemi of Lake Monroe, Fla.; one daughter, Therese Batten of Las Vegas; one stepson, Gregory Sullivan of Moorpark, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Dana Logan of Phoenix; one sister, Joan Soldo of Elmont, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is arranging a private memorial service.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Isaac Tafel
Isaac Tafel, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 10, 1923, in Poland. A resident for one year, he was a tailor.
He is survived by his wife, Etla; two sons, Jose Tafel and Hugo Tafel, both of California; two brothers, Bernado Tafel and Samuel Tafel, both of Argentina; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
