Margaret L. "Maggie" Allen

Margaret L. 'Maggie' Allen, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 20, 1919, in Lebanon, Ky. A resident for 48 years, she was a bookkeeper for a nonprofit organization and a member of Eastern Star Southgate Chapter.

She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Petarde, and one son, Robert N. Allen III, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Ruth Sudduth of Frankfort, Ky.; one brother, Donald White of Versailles, Ky.; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled 11 a.m. today in First Southern Baptist Church. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Albert L. Carr

Albert L. Carr, 84, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born Feb. 19, 1915, in Terrell, Texas. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired city maintenance worker, a World War II Army veteran, and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by two sisters, Violetta Fortune of San Diego and Annie Pearl Finley of Phoenix.

Services were scheduled 1 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial followed in Palm Valley View Cemetery.

Evelyn M. Clay

Evelyn M. Clay, 42, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A lifetime resident, she was a PBX operator at a hotel.

She is survived by two daughters, Nichole Whitmore and Aminah Clay, one son, Derrick Whitmore, her mother, Ora Bland, one brother, John Bland, two sisters, Faye Simmons and Tressie Bland-Jackson, all of Las Vegas; her grandmother, Iver Clay Ferrell of Forest, Miss.; and five grandchildren.

Annette Sadie "Poopsie" Daly

Annette Sadie 'Poopsie' Daly, 52, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 24, 1946, in Los Angeles. A resident for 29 years, she was a ticket agent in the airline industry.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas; two daughters, Kristina Hissung and Kathlina Daly, both of Las Vegas; one son, Thomas Daly Jr. of Henderson; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Paul J. Donorovich

Paul J. Donorovich, 67, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 29, 1931, in Eynon, Pa. A resident for six years, he was a retired CPA and a Korean War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; one daughter, Doreen Foucheaux of Kent, Wash.; two sons, Michael Donorovich of Cincinnati and Paul E. Donorovich of North Hills, Calif.; one sister, Helen Kondraske of Eynon; one brother, Alfred Donorovich of Buffalo, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Gabriel Catholic Church.

Laie Senturi Fonoimoana

Laie Senturi Fonoimoana, 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 7, 1930, in Laie, Hawaii. A resident for 2 1/2 years, he was a retired Army sergeant first class, a volunteer for the Red Cross, Special Olympics and Boy Scouts and as a past bishop, branch president and temple worker in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria; three daughters, Roxann Fonoimoana, Cathy Kofoed and Sandra Mattheson, all of Washington; three sons, Cal Fonoimoana and Delbert Fonoimoana, both of Washington, and Ron Fonoimoana of Las Vegas; and 30 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Walnut and Carey LDS Chapel. Burial will be in Kent, Wash.

Bill B. Garms

Bill B. Garms, 74, of Las Vegas died Aug. 19 in Las Vegas. He was born May 9, 1925, in Texas. A resident for 23 years, he was a drilling engineer and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey; one son, Glen Garms of Washington; three daughters, Gwynn Runkle of Colorado, Carol Ann Morris of Idaho and Cheryl Ann Garms of Colorado; his mother, Lorene Kennedy of Las Vegas; one brother, Kenneth Garms of Texas; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson handled arrangements.

Timothy Troy Hollis

Timothy Troy Hollis, 43, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 20, 1955, in Dearborn, Mich. A resident for 32 years, he was a laborer in the nursery industry.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Hollis of Las Vegas and Troy Hollis of Kentucky; two daughters, Shera Hollis and Cheri Hollis, both of Kentucky; his mother, Freda Jones of Florence, Ala.; two brothers, Curt Hollis and Ronald Hollis, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Kimberly Hollis of Pahrump.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. is handling arrangements.

Albert E. Johnston Jr.

Albert E. Johnston Jr., 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born May 25, 1924, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 12 years, he was a mail carrier, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by one daughter, Jean Gustafson of Pryor, Okla.; two sons, Jack Clegg of El Cajon, Calif., and Roger Clegg of Gainesville, Fla.; one sister, Grace Wooster of Henderson; two brothers, James Johnston of Yuba City, Calif., and Robert Johnston of Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Robert L. Klein

Robert L. Klein, 66, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Wisconsin. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired truck driver for a paper company, a Korean War Army veteran and a member of the Boulder City Lions Club.

He is survived by two daughters, Gayle Klein of Henderson and Kim Diebold of Boulder City, two sons, Keith Klein of Henderson and Scott Culbertson of Denver; one sister, Ruth Wilson, and two brothers, Albert Klein and Wilbur Klein, all of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be 11 a.m.-7 p.m. with a 4 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Joanne McIllwain

Joanne McIllwain, 67, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 29, 1931, in California. A resident for four years, she was a body shop owner.

She is survived by two sons, William McIllwain and Gary McIllwain; one daughter, Kathleen Amaya; one brother, Dennis McIllwain; four sisters, Gail McIllwain, Shirley Stromenn, Melba Andrews and Joyce Gimble.

A memorial service will be 10-noon Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Irma W. Oldfield

Irma W. Oldfield, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born April 18, 1929, in Germany. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her companion, Earl Sims; one daughter, Betty Schreur of Las Vegas; one son, Howard Oldfield of Clearlake, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Bunker Eden Vale Cemetery.

Rachel Palac

Rachel Palac, 48, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 20, 1950, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for four years, she was a retail sales manager and the founder of Survivors of Incest Anonymous of Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, Walter K.; three daughters, Wendy Mirabella-Gardner and Tracy Mirabella, both of Las Vegas, and Michelle Mirabella of Riverside, Calif.; three sons, Peter Gardner and Rocky Kutsunai, both of Las Vegas, and Nick Mirabella of Riverside, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1 until 3 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Willie Patterson

Willie Patterson, 86, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 21, 1912, in Henderson, La. A resident for 9 1/2 years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by one stepson, James Steward of Palmdale, Calif.

Visitation will be one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Monday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Richard L. Poynter

Richard L. Poynter, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 30, 1921, in Indiana. A resident for 10 years, he was a cab driver and an Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Michelle Furmanski and Valerie Al Shurafa, both of California; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled 11:30 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson handled arrangements.

Robert Ray Streeter

Robert Ray Streeter, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 31, 1922, in California. A resident for 63 years, he was a dealer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two sons, Robert C. Ray of Texas and Troy Ray of Las Vegas; two daughters, Bonnie Ray and Hilary Jarina, and one brother, Marvin Ray, all of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled noon- 2 p.m. today in Hilary Jarina's home. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society handled arrangements.

Betty J. Thalman

Betty J. Thalman, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 22, 1919, in Detroit. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired administrative assistant for an aircraft company.

She is survived by one niece, Elsa Carpenter-Peck of Wyoming, Michigan; and one nephew, Eric Carpenter of Clarendon Hills, Ill.

A graveside service will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. is handling arrangements.
