Roy Edwin Thrasher, 20, and Danny Wayne Harper, 21, were booked Wednesday for the murder and robbery of Jerry C. Hobson II.
Hobson's body was found April 11. It's believed the shooting took place in another location in the canyon and the body was moved to the ravine where it was found.
Hobson, reported missing by his family Feb. 3, was shot several times. Authorities wouldn't say if drugs are involved.
Thrasher was already in Carson City jail on an unrelated contempt case when he was charged. Harper was at the sheriff's department for an interview when he was arrested.
An anonymous caller to the sheriff's department and Hobson's parents, Jerry and Laverne Hobson, led authorities to search for the victim in Goni Canyon.
Laverne Hobson said she wasn't surprised Thrasher and Harper are accused of killing her son because the anonymous caller fingered the men.
