Metro Police believe a Las Vegas man may have become ill while driving, causing him to drift off the road and strike a parked car, killing himself.
The driver, identified by police as Bill Barnhill, 65, was westbound on Vegas Valley Drive near McCleod Drive at 5:55 a.m. Saturday when he went off the north edge of the road. His 1992 Oldsmobile hit the rear of a parked Ford Escort, police said. Barnhill was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Police said Barnhill was not wearing a seat belt. The accident remains under investigation.
