LAS VEGAS -- Russ Romaniuk's goal at 19:33 of the third period gave the Las Vegas Thunder a 2-1 win over the Long Beach Ice Dogs, an their first win of their best-of-five International Hockey League Western Conference playoff series.
Victor Ignatjev gave the Ice Dogs, who lead the series two games to one, a 1-0 lead at 6:00 of the second period. Patrice Lefebvre equalized :14 later.
Patrik Augusta, who had an assist on Ignatjev's goal, put Long Beach ahead at 16:29. Las Vegas again evened the score with a power play goal by Barry Potomski at 14:27.
The Thunder's Manny Legace faced 33 shots and made 31 saves, while the Ice Dogs' Mike Buzak stopped 30 of 33. Game four of the series is Saturday in Las Vegas.
