Betty Beveridge, 74, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 4, 1923, in New York. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, William; two sons, Bryan Beveridge of Denver and Bruce Beveridge of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today and noon to 7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
HERB GREENFIELD
Herb Greenfield, 90, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 8, 1908, in California. A resident for 43 years, he was retired since 1973 from the Bank of Nevada as senior vice president.
He is survived by three sons, Herbert Greenfield Jr. of Aptos, Calif., Robert Greenfield of Orinda, Calif., and Robert O'Donnell of Las Vegas; one daughter, Mary Taylor of Las Vegas; one sister, Jeanne Webber of Glendale, Calif.; two brothers, Don Greenfield of Glendale and Alec Greenfield of Washington, D.C.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is private. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. A private burial will follow.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
MINNILOU HARRIS
Minnilou Harris, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for 31 years, she was born Feb. 23, 1917, in Cleburne County, Ala.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Eichelberger of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

MAX A. HIEBER
Max A. Hieber, 82, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Sept. 10, 1915, in St. Cloud, Minn. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired government equipment operator and a Coast Guard veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia L.; one daughter, Gretchen Reinink of Henderson; his mother, Leona McArdle, and one sister, Ione Virus, both of Truckee, Calif.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
ELIZABETH 'LUCY' KESSLER
Elizabeth "Lucy" Kessler, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born June 22, 1922, in Texas. A resident for eight years, she was a clothing merchant.
She is survived by two sons, Vincent Artale and John Kessler; one daughter, Suzie Artale; one brother, Al Goode; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Christian Center, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
LAVIVIA ROSE LAMB
Lavivia Rose Lamb, 48, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born June 19, 1949, in Texas. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Shannon Causey, and her mother, Zora Lamb, both of Las Vegas; four sisters, Linda Brian, Sharon Lloyd and Arleen Lamb, all of Las Vegas, and Arleen Lamb of Utah; and one grandchild.
Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
JOSE LUIS PARRA MARTINEZ
Jose Luis Parra Martinez, 33, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 26, 1964, in Mexico. A resident for 20 years, he was a construction worker.
He is survived by his parents, Antonio and Gabina; three brothers, Arturo, Antonio and Leopoldo; and one sister, Maria Guadelupe Parra.
Visitation will continue until 6 p.m. today with a 5 p.m. rosary in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be noon Saturday in Woodlawn Cemetery.
VIRGINIA LEE MEAD
Virginia Lee Mead, 78, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born Sept. 7, 1919, in Bristow, Okla. A resident for 33 years, she was a homemaker, a movie extra and model in the 1930s and a World War II Army veteran.
She is survived by three daughters, Julie Mead of Sicklerville, N.J., Karen Mead of Las Vegas and Martha Swift of Henderson; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Monday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
LEONTY H. PAVES
Leonty H. Paves, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born April 13, 1913, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired hotel food and beverage director.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one son, Dan Paves of Bakersfield, Calif.; one sister, Bella Brown of Miami; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Sunday in Palm Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, Tenn.
AUDREY Z. PENNOYER
Audrey Z. Pennoyer, 76, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born Sept. 13, 1921, in Memphis, Tenn. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, George D.; four daughters, JoAnn Henry of Las Vegas, Karen Lee Curnow of Queensland, Australia, Frances Franzone of Perth, Australia, and Candyce Doorn of Grand Terrace, Calif.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Louis Porter, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 25, 1920, in Los Angeles. A resident for 13 years, he was a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian; one son, Alan R. Porter of Los Angeles; and one daughter, Robbin R. Porter of Salem, Ore.

BETTY JAYNE SCHORR
Betty Jayne Schorr, 76, of Ridgecrest, Calif., died Wednesday in Ridgecrest. She was born May 21, 1921, in Illinois. A former Las Vegas resident for 13 years until 1973, she was an administrative assistant at the Naval Ordinance Station.
She is survived by two sons, William Schorr and John Schorr, and one daughter, Milree Storruste, all of Ridgecrest; and several grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
LARRY D. WILLIAMS aka 'SCRAP IRON'
Larry D. Williams aka "Scrap Iron," 47, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 12, 1950, in Monroe, La. A resident for 47 years, he was a civil engineer.
He is survived by his mother, Lula White of San Clemente, Calif.; three brothers, Gerald Shutes of Anaheim, Calif., Primas White Jr. of San Clemente and Jimmie White of Rancho, Santa Margarita, Calif.; and one sister, Patrice Luoni of Las Flores, Calif.
A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.
