Letter: New television show doesn’t deserve kudos

A sprinter was using drugs to help him run faster. He gave some of these drugs to a "friend" who was competing in gymnastics. The drugs appear to have killed the gymnast.
Another gymnast, a woman, spends the night before a big meet getting wasted with a drug pusher. She arrives late for the competition and performs poorly.
A third story line had a young woman telling the last of several men she had slept with that she was HIV-positive. She said she was sorry for ruining his life.
If viewers want a show that portrays what's wrong about life, this is it. As for the 9.7 rating, I'm not sure the show deserves to be scored at all.
