State Assemblywoman Chris Giunchigliani fears she is missing the fluoride bandwagon because 62.1 percent of the nation's population has fluoridated water. However, when you consider Las Vegas' love for green lawns and the high percentage of water that gets dumped on the ground, adding fluoride becomes a wasted addition to the treatment process.
In addition, Las Vegans constantly complain about the taste of the tap water and prefer to buy bottled water. If the government wants to further invade our lives and force us to consume fluoride, instead of leaving the responsibility of oral health and hygiene to ourselves and families, they should require that fluoride be added to Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Budweiser.
