Letter: Find better time for Easter egg hunt

It is the Easter egg hunt sponsored by the Junior Chamber of Commerce. It was held at 10 a.m. on Easter Sunday. Was it specifically for the unchurched children? The timing certainly would lead one to believe so, for 10 a.m. would eliminate any children who attend church or Sunday school, as that is the hour most churches have their services.

Jaycees are supposed to put forth a good image of Las Vegas; showing they are nonbelievers does not. Don't they realize that Easter is celebrating Jesus' resurrection?

Egg-hunting has its place, but not on Easter Sunday morning. Parts of the city had their hunts on Saturday. Maybe the Jaycees didn't like the competition. If so, they could have had the egg hunt on Sunday afternoon.
