Tuesday, April 21, 1998 | 12:39 p.m.
Six Senior PGA Tour players posted their first wins during the 1997 season, with David Graham being the most successful. After his initial win at the GTE Classic in Florida last February, Graham posted two more victories.
Other first-time winners were Bob Eastwood, Boulder City resident Bud Allin, Dana Quigley, Bruce Summerhays and Hugh Baiocchi.
Graham, who already has one victory this season, will be among the 78 professional participating in this week's Las Vegas Senior Classic.
Three rookies (Gil Morgan, Quigley and Baiocchi) won tournaments in 1997, the most since 1992 when three first-timers also posted victories. The all-time Senior PGA Tour record for first-time winners in nine in 1989 while the record for rookies winning in a year is five, also in 1989.
