Bobbitt, Bunny Ranch brothel part ways

Bobbitt, 30, who gained notoriety in 1993 when his then-wife, Lorena, cut off his penis, was listed in a threats report filed in Douglas County by Suzette Gwin, a manager at the brothel located in nearby Lyon County.

Gwin told a sheriff's deputy that Bobbitt showed up April 14 at her Douglas County home with two of his brothers and a sister-in-law, Charity Biro.

The report says Bobbitt, hired in January by brothel owner Dennis Hof, was put on administrative leave April 12 pending termination. A woman who answered the phone at the Bunny Ranch confirmed he no longer works there.

Gwin claims Biro asked for and got three videotapes that Bobbitt had left there, and then said Bobbitt was owed $20. When she refused to pay, Gwin said Biro cursed at her and threatened to harm her and the brothel. Bobbitt said nothing.

When the deputy contacted Biro to discuss the incident, she claimed Bobbitt was to get $50,000 a year to work at the brothel but got only $900 in the four months he worked there.

Biro also denied threatening Gwin with bodily harm, and "she only told Suzette that they were going to the media about the way the ranch used John," the report says.

"Charity assured me that they had no intention of using any type of violence against Suzette. She admitted that they were calling each other a whore but that was only during the heat of the conversation," the deputy wrote.
