Ethel Cariker, 89, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospice. She was born July 14, 1908, in Noxapater, Miss. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Jess; and two sons, Thomas Cariker of Henderson, and J.R. Cariker of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
HENRY ELMER FLYNN SR.
Henry Elmer Flynn Sr., 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 7, 1933, in Logan, N.M. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired carpenter, a Korean War Army veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Carpenters Local 1780 and the Good Times, B-Sharps, Stardusters, Swinging Stars and Golden Gliders square dance clubs.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Vernon W. Flynn of Green Bay, Wis., and Henry E. Flynn Jr. of Chicago; 42 nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Nevada SPCA, 650 White Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89119, or the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
HAROLD JACKSON
Harold Jackson, 60, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 27, 1937, in Oklahoma. A resident for five years, he was a laborer and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Dollie; two sons, El Sancho Jackson of Kansas and Harold Jackson of Alaska; five daughters, Lueva Jackson, Marsha Jackson and Harriett Jackson, all of Kansas, and Makiba Jackson and Sophie Jackson, both of California; his mother, Margaret Jackson, and three sisters, Ieva Shaw, Donna Wilson and Della Jackson, all of California.
No local services are scheduled. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
GERTRUDE WEBB LEAVITT
Gertrude Webb Leavitt, 93, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 26, 1904, in Vassalboro, Maine. A resident for eight years, she was a teacher and a member of the California Teachers Association.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph W. Leavitt of Las Vegas and Horace M. Leavitt of Brick, N.J.; and one daughter, Mary Jo Hasselfeldt of Corvallis, Mont.
No local services are scheduled. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
REGINA MACKEY
Regina Mackey, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 11, 1916, in Passaic, N.J. A resident for four years, she was a retired civil service secretary.
She is survived by one daughter, Dr. Maureen Mackey of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday in All Saints Episcopal Church.
The family suggests donations to St. Christopher's Catholic School, 1840 N. Bruce, Las Vegas, NV 89030.
JOSEPH J. REITMEIER
Joseph J. Reitmeier, 71, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 12, 1926, in Chicago. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired automobile salesman and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Lita; one daughter, Cheryl Ann Reitmeier of Las Vegas; one brother, Louis Reitmeier of Chicago; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Odyssey Harbor House. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
WALTER R. ROBISON
Walter R. Robison, 60, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 28, 1937, in San Jose, Calif. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired heavy equipment mechanic in the construction industry, a Korean War Navy veteran and a member of Teamsters Local 631.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy; two sons, Walter L. Robison of Everett, Wash., and Steven Robison of Sacramento; one stepson, John Holloway of Las Vegas; his mother, Lucille Leavitt of Missoula, Mont.; one brother, Jim Robison of Florence, Mont.; one sister, Sharon Rheault of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
MARY T. STEPHENS
Mary T. Stephens, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 14, 1932, in Gainesville, Ga. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired waitress.
She is survived by one daughter, Theresa Myers of Las Vegas; two sisters, Betty Franklin of Savannah, Ga., and Melba Smith of Murrayville, Ga.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Burial will be in Georgia. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
MICHAEL WALLACE
Michael Wallace, 36, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born April 20, 1961, in Los Angeles. A resident for three years, he managed a mini-mart.
He is survived by his mother, Maggie Wallace of Chowchilla, Calif.; one sister, Sheryl O'Neal of Fresno, Calif.; and three brothers, John Hazen of Las Vegas, David Wallace of Clarkston, Wash., and Darrel Pafford of Coarsegold, Calif.
Visitation is scheduled 6-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
