The Carson City youth was arrested Wednesday for investigation of possession of stolen property after his mother found several stolen items in his bedroom and called authorities.
The boy told sheriff's deputies that he entered unlocked vehicles over the last three weeks. One other juvenile may be involved, deputies said.
Investigators have linked the boy to three reported auto burglaries, but recovered items have not led to the identification of other victims.
