CARSON CITY -- Gov. Bob Miller has ordered flags on two state buildings be lowered to half-staff on Monday during the start of National Crime Victims' Rights week.
Miller said, "Recent estimates reveal five out of every six people will become the victim of a violent crime at least once during their lifetime. This important week is a tribute to those who have suffered and died, and to those who courageously suffered and lived."
The flags will be at half-staff on the capitol building in Carson City and the Sawyer State Office Building in Las Vegas.
