Stunt man Super Dave films movie in Las Vegas

It's only fitting stunt man Super Dave Osborne would film part of his new movie in Las Vegas - the only city likely to match his outrageous manner.
Super Dave's world tour bus trudged down Fremont Street on Monday night as 300 local extras lined the sidewalks with party hats and streamers in celebration of New Year's Eve 1999.
Tourists watching the revelers in year 2000 garb were a bit confused, but as soon as they saw the words "Super Dave," many understood.
"As long as he doesn't jump off the building, he's all right," said Gary Keating of Clinton Township, Mich. "He hits the ground rather hard sometimes."
Keating and his wife, Nancy, couldn't control their laughter as they braved cold temperatures to watch filming on Monday.
Super Dave is in town to film several scenes of his new movie "Be The Man - Super Dave," produced by MGM and expected to be released in August. In the film, Super Dave comes to the rescue of a single mother struggling to care for her ill son.
One of the scenes being filmed in Las Vegas this week had the daredevil comedian performing one of his stunts on top of a red, white and blue tour bus being driven by entertainer Ray Charles.
"Ray Charles is going to drive that bus," Jean McNamara promptly told her husband at the Fremont Street Experience.
"But he's blind," Robert McNamara said, evoking giggles from his wife.
Of course, Charles really didn't drive the bus. It was pulled down Fremont Street by a truck.
"Super Dave is beloved by millions," said Richard Prince, one of the movie's producers, who was asked numerous times just what Super Dave was up to now.
The movie was also filming Tuesday and Wednesday at the MGM Grand hotel-casino.
