William Elno Beustad, 60, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born March 30, 1938, in Torrance, Calif. He was a retired hotel-casino dealer/manager and an Army veteran.

He is survived by three sisters, Mary Matthews, Diane Baxter and Christy Beustad, all of Las Vegas.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2121 Western Ave., Suite A-3, is handling arrangements.

JAMES O. BOYER

James O. Boyer, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 7, 1924, in Denham Springs, La. He was a retired Department of Energy journalist, a World War II Marine Corps veteran and a member of Leatherneck of Nevada Marine Corps League.

He is survived by his wife, Christa R.; his mother, Irene Boyer of Baton Rouge, La.; and two brothers, Dudley Boyer of Denham Springs and Frank Boyer of Chackamas, Ore.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

LA VERN 'BUD' BRUNKOW

La Vern "Bud" Brunkow, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 26, 1930, in Duluth, Kan. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired Air Force senior master sergeant and a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline; one son, John Patrick Brunkow of London; one sister, Verda Deveny of Las Vegas; one brother, Almon Brunkow Jr. of St. Charles, Mo.; numerous nieces and nephews; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-3 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be noon Monday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

LOUIS P. BUONO

Louis P. Buono, 69, of Boulder City died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 16, 1928, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for nine years, he was a retired shipping foreman for a baking company.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; two daughters, Marie Rosenberg and Claire Buono, both of San Pedro, Calif.; four sons, Philip C. Buono of Palos Verdes, Calif., Gary Buono of San Pedro, Nicholas Buono of Lompoc, Calif., and Brian Buono of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 6 p.m. today and 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Burial will be in California. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

SYLVAN CASSIUS DOOLEY

Sylvan Cassius Dooley, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 25, 1915, in Nebraska. A resident for 13 years, he was an accountant.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; and two daughters, Donna Dershimer and Judith Humphreys, both of California.

Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

JANE DRULEY

Jane Druley, 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. A homemaker, she was born Feb. 8, 1924, in Chicago.

She is survived by her husband, George Sr.; two sons, George Druley Jr. of Las Vegas and Dorsey Druley of Eureka, Calif.; one daughter, Geraldine Stephens of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Robert Eng, 85, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. He was born Aug. 13, 1912, in New York. A resident for many years, he was an author and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by one son, Tony Clark; and three daughters, Aven Lindsey, Connie Allen and Dulcy Lazzari.

IDA O. FISHER

Ida O. Fisher, 85, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A resident for 14 years, she was born April 23, 1912, in Rochester, N.Y.

She is survived by one niece, Rosemary Sommers of Sterling Heights, Mich.; and three nephews, Fred Acierno, Robert Acierno and Jim Acierno, all of Michigan.

No local services are scheduled. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

MARCOS STEVE GULAS

Marcos Steve Gulas, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 19, 1921, in Baltimore. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired Air Force colonel and Korean War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Anne; one brother, Robert Gulas of Baltimore; one sister, Virginia S. Doxanas of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

JOANNE THERESA HUBBARD

Joanne Theresa Hubbard, 73, of Henderson died Thursday in Henderson. A resident for four years, she was born Oct. 28, 1925, in Tillamook, Ore.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; five children, Terry Hubbard of Clear, Alaska, Caren Guidinger of Spokane, Wash., Steve Hubbard of Incline, Scott Hubbard of Barstow, Calif., and Linda McLean of Cottonwood, Calif.

Mass was scheduled at 1 p.m. today in St. Peter's Catholic Church. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

TERENCE HUGHES

Terence Hughes, 48, of Henderson died Friday. He was born July 14, 1949, in Reno. A lifelong resident of Nevada, he was an electronics technician, a member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite Bodies.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann; four sons, Kenneth Hughes of Las Vegas, and Timothy Hughes, Thomas Hughes and Stephen Hughes, all of Henderson; one daughter, Karisa Hughes of Henderson; his mother, Mary Catherine Hughes of Nixa, Mo.; and two sisters, Darlene Dunn of Elverta, Calif., and Patricia Hughes of Springfield, Mo.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. A memorial service will be 4:30 p.m. Friday in the First Presbyterian Church, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

RODNEY PAUL KENNEDY

Rodney Paul Kennedy, 26, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 12, 1971, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a kitchen worker at the Sands Convention Center.

He is survived by his special friend, Antoinette Smith, one son, JhaShown Datcher, his parents, James and Willie Wade, one brother, Andre Wade, and one stepbrother, Terrance Parks, all of Las Vegas; one stepsister, Jacqueline Agee of Morton, Miss.; his grandmother, Matilda Kennedy of North Las Vegas; and his step-grandparents, Palestine and James Wade Sr. of Rison, Ark.

Visitation is scheduled 2-6 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the Greater New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

THOMAS LEE MOSES

Thomas Lee Moses, 54, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 6, 1943, in Tennessee. A resident for eight years, he was a salesman at a music store.

He is survived by one son, Michael Moses of Texas; one daughter, Linda Moses of Oklahoma; and his mother, Marian of Florida.

ALICE ANN PICO

Alice Ann Pico, 96, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born March 12, 1902, in Boone, Iowa. A resident for 70 years, she was a homemaker, charter member of Catholic Daughters-Ave Maria Court of Las Vegas and a former member of the altar societies at St. Joan of Arc and St. Anne Catholic churches.

She is survived by four sons, Ronald Pico of Tempe, Ariz., Gerald Pico and James Pico, both of Henderson, and Thomas Pico of Reno; 24 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. and 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Anne Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

IONA BELLE BARNUM REBER

Iona Belle Barnum Reber, 93, of Mesquite died Sunday in St. George, Utah. She was born Oct. 25, 1905, in Mesquite. A lifelong resident, she was a senior citizen volunteer.

She is survived by four daughters, Clareen Leavitt and Verna Moss, both of Mesquite, and Sharon Weaver and Rebecca Castagno, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Lena Sylvester of Bullhead City, Ariz.; one brother, Emmett Barnum of Bunkerville; 13 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Wednesday in the Mesquite LDS Stake Center. Burial will follow in Mesquite City Cemetery.

Cecilia T. Russell, 81, of Goodsprings died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 18, 1916, in Seneca, Kan. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, William C.; two daughters, Peggy Stephens of Goodsprings and Jacqueline McCleod of Simms, Mont.; four brothers, Cel Schmitz, Roger Schmitz and Lawrence Schmitz, all of Cave Junction, Ore., and Charles Schmitz of Paradise, Calif.; one sister, Margaret Shay of Pilot Grove, Mo.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Goodsprings Community Church. Burial will follow in Goodsprings Cemetery.

Harry M. Saltzman, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born June 18, 1919, in Virginia. A resident for 13 years, he was a gardener for Los Angeles County.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; two sons, Richard and Barry; and two grandchildren.

DALE SCHROEDER

Dale Schroeder, 50, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 4, 1947, in Chicago. A resident for 19 years, he was a risk manager at a hotel-casino, a Vietnam War Air Force veteran and a member of Desert Brotherhood Motorcycle Club.

He is survived by his father, Charles Schroeder of Las Vegas; and one brother, Eugene Schroeder of Aurora, Colo.

Graveside services will be private. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

WILMER 'KEN' SMITH

Wilmer "Ken" Smith, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 10, 1922, in West Virginia. A resident for nine years, he was a retired machine parts planner for an aerospace firm and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his companion, Phyllis Mayne of Las Vegas; one daughter, Susan Price of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; one son, Jerry Smith of Santa Ana, Calif.; and two sisters, Burtha Rhoades of Midland, Ohio, and Lola Hallett of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
