They provide much more than financial assistance. At a time of great loss, their interest, advice and encouragement will never be forgotten. There is nothing more noble in life than putting your life on the line to help others, our police officers and firefighters do this every working day of their lives.
For you millionaires out there, be advised that some of our most renowned and respected citizens in this country are proud and active members of this fine organization, but remain anonymous. Please do your homework and then search your hearts and conscience, and I know you will do the right thing. These fine men and women are there when we need them.
They have made the ultimate sacrifice; should we not show some appreciation to their families who now must live with this most difficult loss.
